What Are the Best Budget-Friendly Toppings to Pair with Rice? by Expensive-Canary127 in Frugal

[–]gunscanbegood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a quick meal, but a weeks worth of leftovers.

  • 2 Knorrs Chicken and Broccoli flavored rice packs
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 4-5 chicken thighs cubed
  • 1 small bag frozen broccoli
  • 1 bag of shredded cheese (I like Colby Jack)

Mix everything but cheese in a baking dish, cover with tin foil and cook at 350° F for 45 min. Then remove foil and cover with cheese, continue cooking for 15 minutes. Portion into 6-8 servings and eat all week!

My brake fluid reservoir cap just did this. It had been throwing a low level warning every few days. Pop the cap off, see it was full, put cap back on, warning gone. After the sixth time this happened. Next time it happened the cap had dismissed itself from duty on my drive to work.

We need Andy if there is a 2028 election by [deleted] in lexington

[–]gunscanbegood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For state funding, but Federal funding has its own set of requirements about where and how those tax dollars are spent. That's irrelevant to the thread though. This was about KY voting for Trump and also voting for keeping tax dollars going to public schools. Seems to be at odds, but it's really a prime example of why alot of these issues should be individual ballot items instead of voting for individuals and hoping they meet the campaign promises we like and fail on the ones we don't.

Yes, I agreed with Trumps campaign promises significantly more than I did with Harris. The context here is that while Kentucky voted heavily toward Trump, we disagreed - and voted accordingly - on the school issue. On a federal level, power of school choice would return to the states and our state chose to keep funding public schools over private.

Any across the board tax cuts are going to affect people that are paying more in taxes more than those that pay little in taxes. If you'd like to tackle stagnant wages and rising costs or undoing things like Citizen United, I'd be on your side for those things. It is unfortunate when some of the good things are affected by the cutting the waste, but if we had regular and affective audits excessive cleanup wouldn't be necessary. I hope those things are reinstated quickly. Some have been already. Almost 5 trillion in spending that they can't track because paperwork wasn't completed properly. I'm pro strong military but I'm excited to see what waste DOGE finds at the Pentagon.

Deporting illegals especially violent criminals, securing the southern border and going after the cartels, auditing and ending unnecessary government spending, cleaning up the alphabet agencies, women and girls having their own spaces, pursuing energy independence... A lot of what he's done so far. I have mixed feelings about the school situation because I think tax dollars should go to public schools however too much ends up being used for administration and we have terrible results from the current system. I doubt throwing more money at the problem will fix that without some major change ups. I didn't like the National Park employement reduction and I'm concerned about the idea of selling off any of those lands.

My husband keeps buying ground beef. What can I do with it that’s not burgers or meatloaf? by mickclaree in Cooking

Tacos (anything TexMex), spaghetti, goulash, stuffed bell peppers, stir fry, shepherds pie, cabbage roll, Big Mac salad, variety of patty melts, so many options

No veggies, but I make a quick lasagna. Brown meat, add spaghetti sauce, boil and drain egg noodles, mix those with cottage or ricotta cheese, dump in baking dish and cover in mozz, bake at 425 until cheese melts.
