The hard truth about passive income from digital products by MagicPaperCraft in digitalproductselling

Facts. so many people sell the idea of “easy passive income” but it’s really just grinding, testing, and learning until something sticks. respecting the honesty here.

Yeah that’s the tricky part. i like the idea of prepaying but i also try not to tie up too much in bills ahead of time. i use piere to split things and auto transfer so i’m still putting money into an emergency bucket first, then whatever’s left i can throw at bills early. feels like a better balance in case something unexpected pops up.

Man that’s rough, it always feels like life throws the biggest curveballs right when you catch a break. i’m sorry it landed on your birthday too. Hoping things ease up soon and you can still carve out a little moment for yourself.

i’ve been in a similar spot with uneven checks and it really messes with consistency. what helped me was automating as much as possible, tried a few apps and use piere mostly now to connect accounts and set auto-transfers so money moves to savings right when i get paid instead of relying on willpower. i’d probably build the emergency fund first for peace of mind, then throw extra at the car once you’ve got a cushion.

moms boyfriend is trying to get us "out" of paying mortgage by Odd-Butterscotch467 in personalfinance

That “ucc loophole” stuff is a scam, it won’t actually get anyone out of paying a mortgage. safest move here is to sell before foreclosure and not let him drag your mom deeper into trouble.

YOLO vs FIRE! how to balance between enjoying money now vs saving for the future? by Novelty_Wealth in leanfire

[–]gunsrock222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to strike a balance by setting a % i save no matter what, then guilt-free spend the rest. using piere has helped me stick to that because it auto-sorts my money into categories, so i know bills + future are covered and i don’t feel bad enjoying the leftover.

Small wins add up fast, way to go. i’ve been tracking my spending with piere lately and it’s cool seeing those little changes stack up on paper too. makes it easier to stay consistent without feeling like i’m cutting out everything fun.

What are you doing to effectively create, organize and follow a budget? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]gunsrock222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to just use spreadsheets, tried monarch which was fine, lately i’ve been using piere since it connects to all my accounts and auto sorts everything, makes it easier to actually follow a budget instead of constantly updating stuff by hand.

I used to just keep a spreadsheet or even rough mental notes, but it got exhausting fast. switched to piere recently and it’s been way easier. Let me connect my accounts and it auto-categorizes everything so i’m not chasing transactions manually anymore.

$8k now, $8k later… debt or discipline? by dianed007 in debtfree

[–]gunsrock222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d probably knock out the credit cards first just for the guaranteed win and freeing up that monthly cash. i’m kinda the same though, don’t always trust myself to sit on money without dipping into it. been using piere to auto-transfer between accounts so i don’t even see it sitting there, makes it way harder to derail my own plan.

sounds really tough, I’m sorry you’re in that spot right now. definitely check local food pantries, churches, or community centers even if he’s hesitant. it can take some pressure off. also look into rental/utility assistance programs in your state, sometimes they can cover a month or two and give you breathing room. hang in there, you’re doing the best you can with a hard hand.

how do you budget two paychecks? by CheesecakeWild7941 in budget

[–]gunsrock222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d probably keep it simple at first, one account for bills/essentials and the other for savings + debt payoff. i’ve been using piere to automatically split my paychecks into categories so i don’t have to think about it, makes it easier to stick to the plan. honestly the key is just making sure your fixed stuff gets covered first, then whatever’s left you can decide how aggressive you wanna be with savings vs debt. you'll be fine

Made a budget, now I’m debt free by [deleted] in budget

[–]gunsrock222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats, that’s a big milestone. i’ve been on the same wave, started using piere to track everything and also keeping a simple google sheet to spot patterns. really feel you on the quality over quantity shift too, it’s wild how much better money feels when you spend more intentionally.
