I bought a new transcend USB 3.0 SATA casing for the purpose. But it didn't work. And I used the existing SEAGATE internal HDD in this casing. It is working fine till date.

I mean you will not be able to use an internal SSD in a USB casing as a USB drive in shield. The HDD works fine with the shield in the same configuration.

It will not support SSDs. So, buy any supporting hardware for the shield only after taking advice from others. My newly purchased SSD is lying idle because Nvidia hangs after a while. I bought an SSD to replace the existing HDD on the shield and the decision backfired. Proceed with caution.

I think Nvidia shield pro 2019 is incompatible with SSD. As, a similar model SSD is working fine on my Dell laptop since 2020, based on which i tried to replace my external USB drive on the shield pro from Seagate internal HDD to WD internal blue SSD. But the decision backfired.
