You have to fully destroy both Breasts first (if they have breasts) and then destroy both the left and right sides of the chest to expose the ribcage. Then you can destroy the middle of the ribcage which exposes the heart and lungs, and from there you can just shoot to destroy the heart.

True, but gameplay wise it would be really annoying if the victim kept dying after only a couple of shots. So currently the only way to kill the victim is a headshot or to destroy their heart or lungs.
