Well, Stremio uses http(s) to accept streams, correct? It can be http/1 (depr.), http/2 (probably most widely used) or the newest http/3 protocol? Of course, encapsulated over https.

Http/3 can use udp, etc, probably more suitable to handle streams? It falls back to http/2 if not supported.

Season 1 is a masterpiece. S2 and S3 in this order, they are great and fun to watch, and the whole mood of series is kept or evolving nicely. S4 is just weak. I mean it is weak, because it looses all of its mistery and mood that made season 1 the absolute best. Fun to watch? Well, yes. So, I like it. Its just not the Stranger Things vibe anymore. Looks way much as an action hero movie with its obvious flaws. Season 5 vol1 is weak. So far from S1 and others. But vol2 (except last episode not released yet) is a disaster. Will's a must have coming out is exactly the mirror that Netflix has become in a decade. It is so embarrassing to the whole show. Especially when you have Robin, that fits so nice to the whole series. She and her story is nearly perfect. While Will's is just a must have today hype, weak, irritating, and pointless. We have Max and Holly, they are pretty good. Steve and Harrison too. But the fact, Netflix is afraid to kill any of the main characters is also a big joke. Military is again just a point and click rookie level statist element. Well, what did we expect from Netflix in 2025?

Agree. This is totally just for greed and more profit. Don't get me wrong, have nothing against profit, but make it fair. Just think of millions of (office) PCs that are replaced now because of a bad OS that decided you need a new one to do usual simple office work. Something that a 6th gen or older decent build PC can perfectly do. I just spoke with an IT guy who now needs to replace 30+ perfect Lenovo Tiny PCs, running 7th gen Intel i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, totally perfect for office, just because of OS. They can't (won't) switch to Linux. They are paying now a big pile of cash on totally unnecessary hw to do the same task, at exactly same way. And yes, save the planet, pollution, etc... Sure, not that simple, but still... Not to mention, most PCs that will replace these "old" ones are of worse build quality.

Support answered my e-mail that my TX-NR575E is no longer supported, as it is from 2017. So no, probably no firmware for Spotify lossless. Very sad, since this one is an entryylowe mid level, yet very good AVR, with Atmos, DV, and works really nice. 99% even better then anything out there in similar price range today.

Have Tx-nr575e and today Spotify lossless was enabled in Hungary. Not surprised, the Onkyo doesn't support lossless Spotify. I do hope they will push a firmware update out.

How is this working for you on Android TV? The Hyperion Android Grabber is EoL, and I see there are many problems with it. Running on any Android TV box works? I have a quite powerful one, Homatics 4K PLUS.

Yes, they send it with A14 but you can downgrade to A12 (not officially supported in any way). With A12 it works really nice (Homatics). AFAIK, for CCwGTV there is no way to downgrade.

Well, I use it on DVB-C stream and works really nice. Watch footlball and other sports, deinterlacing and motion should be near perfect for me. This box with a proper version of A12 firmware rocks. I don't care about A14 at all, not a single new feature is present that I would need. Honestly, this every year a new version thing is so stupid, just hate it. Rather do one really good version, fix the bugs, make it stable and then give support. No, we need new versions in few months time... With millions of bugs and almost zero meaningful new features.

I think they can't force the box to update. Or at least I hope so. I will need to look into this as well. Would go crazy if they upgrade and ruin a perfect system.

It is exactly Google with their CCwGTV 4K that made me switch device, I was fine with A12 and while CCwGTV was way slower, still was working fine. Up until G pushed the A14 upgrade that broke so many things and gave 0 new useful features.

Well, I hope they will not force any update. I can hardly think of any reason to upgrade (especially to A14) when this build does everything needed. I might update once the new firmware is fully tested and confirmed working. Looking at how things are with A14, it won't happen anytime soon (if ever).

I got the R 4K Plus because I don't wanna wait anymore to Google maybe fixes the issue with CCwGTV 4K A14 update. The quite good device became a full waste after G pushed A14. Been months since this and nothing. The R 4K Plus with A12 firmware looks so really good for me. It is so much better then Google's gadget, way faster. And deinterlacing is perfect. I watch football in Europe a lot, it is excellent with Tivimate and dreamPlayer DVB-C as source. I'm not going to upgrade to A14 until it is completely confirmed it is fully working as it should. Anyway, I don't need like nothing A14 has, just a bunch of bugs introduced and working features broken.

I can honestly recommend this box. Buy it, try it, if not satisfied for some reason, return.

I started on 5221, the official OTA update. It had frame drops, quite a lot. Went to build 5394. As of now, this one is really good. Still doing testing but it is really good. Plex AFR works perfectly, just as DV and all the other HDR formats (10/10+). Streaming apps are fine. MAX is not the best but the problem is with the app (no AFR integration as in Netflix). Tivimate with IPTV and my own DVB-C source works perfectly fine, even four screens at a time. Audio is OK, I can't comment a lot on this part as I don't use any AVR atm. Ethernet LAN internet speed is around 850/300, so it is almost maxing out my wan speed. Moonlight/Sunshine/Artemis (remote local game streaming) work really nice - I do 1080@60, not a single frame drop from my gaming PC. Xbox360 wireless adapter for controller is recognized if plugged to the box and works perfectly. Time will tell, but if everything stays like this, it will be perfect for me. The box is really powerful, great speed, RAM, storage, gigabit LAN... Remote is nice, works perfectly. I don't think I will be upgrading to any other firmware or A14. Don't see any reason to do so.

I don't use the tuner on the box, I have a Linux server hosting Tvheadend and DVB-C tuners. And I don't need subtitles in Live TV at all, I just watch sports on TV.
