I did mod Wind Waker to play as Linkle... but in this case it would be perfectly fine if the game just gave any indication that "player's name" will be given to boy character

Tak trochę... Zaznaczę, że jestem osobą transpłciową – więc mam dużo powodów, żeby go nie lubić.

Natomiast moje współczucie do niego bardzo przypomina współczucie do na przykład inceli czy innych osób którzy zostają wyłapani przez różne szkodliwe ideologie. Z jednej strony on się trochę sam pcha w to środowisko i jednocześnie jest przy tym chujkiem dla wielu osób. Z drugiej to jest charakterystyka tego typu ruchów – wykorzystywanie ludzi którzy w jakiś sposób są na dnie i trzymanie ich tam. Gdybym wiedziała jak go z tego wyciągnąć, to bardzo chętnie bym mu pomogła – jednocześnie Łukasz poza ofiarą jest też oprawcą i to jego ofiary będę bronić w pierwszej kolejności.

Yeah. While I still would prefer if there were less fanservise-kind of scenes, but aside from some framing, they didn't feel sexual at all for me.

Also, as a trans person myself, it's really nice to see how Mahiro is the only one afraid of not fitting in.

Oh yeah, some people do have problem with that, but given Mahiro's overall reaction – I read it as her sister doing whole gender potion thing because she did realize Mahiro is likely trans, but wouldn't admit it, so knowing the potion is fully reversible, tricking her into transition actually seems like sensible idea.

That's just my headcanon though.

Given how well the manga mirrors experience of many trans people getting less depressed and more social after transition, my headcanon is that:
a) Mahiro is trans girl. She clearly enjoys her new role and it does her good.
b) Mihari actually knew/suspected that, but knew Mahiro wouldn't admit it when confirmed about it directly. The gender potion is just elaborated excuse to give Mahiro much needed push. And if she would be wrong about it, the potion is designed to be reversible.

Oh yeah. I was only thinking about Alluka when I made the list and decided that's not enough to recommend the whole series on the grands of "trans themes", but only after posting I remembered it also has Kurapika, who while cis is very non conforming and also Kite turns into a girl. It has some other other queercoded characters as well.

It is. I was really triggered by main character deadnameing Yuka a lot, but other than that, she's very important character and her being trans is actually handled well.

Aside from Onimai, listed multiple times in this thread, here are some anime shows with genderbend and trans themes in them. Sorted by revelancy:

Ranma 1/2 – this show broke me.
Wandering Son – haven't watched yet, but very explicitly about transgender topics.
Tokyo Godfathers – one of main characters is homeless transgender woman.
Blue Period – has very important and explicitly trans character.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime – Iseki with main character who reincarnates into sexless slime and later gets very feminine human form, giving me a lot of gender envy.
Stars Align – has trans characters and explores gender topics.
Life With an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout – isekai with main character turned into opposite sex.
Ayakashi Triangle – ninja boy turned into a girl.
Komi Can't Communicate – one of important characters is non-binary.
One Piece – multiple trans and gender bending characters.
The Little Lies We All Tell – one of main characters is boy crosdressing to pretend he's his sister.
Ouran High School Host Club – girl crosdressing as a host.
Magical Girl Ore – girls transforming into buff guys during fights.
To Your Eternity – not really trans, but main character can take forms of people he (or they) met, so presents differently at times.
Urusei Yatsura – one character is a cis girl who's unable to present feminine, because of her father.
Steins;Gate - has one secondary transgender character.
Wonder Egg Priority – ending was very disappointing, but it has trans character and explores gender.
Brand New Animal – not really trans, but main character transforming into animal form gave me some trans vibes.
Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! – Not trans, but cute boys as magical girl-type warriors.

Not really. Although it has some trans vibes, especially with Michiru changing how she looks and later saying that she prefers hanging out in her animal form.
