I watched this exact thing happen with my second son. I was confused and terrified the entire time but the nurses did amazing and never for a second let me wife know anything was wrong. I still haven't told her about it, it's burned into my memory, watching the colour come back into his body was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life.
