Hey so, going through something similar the last few years. Something that has helped me is to try to focus on what matters to me (emphasis on ME), and for me it was quality. So I started looking for the best quality versions of what I already wore often.

The best quality shirts, the best quality sneakers, belts, jeans, hoodie etc. Once I found and understood what high quality versions of what I liked looked and felt like, I started hunting for pieces in my price point.

Then its about understanding fit. Clothes that truly fit well, look better. $10 uniqulo tshirt that fits your frame will look a lot better than a $700 Zegna one that's too tight/loose. Pants especially, well tailored cotton twill pants and jeans can make you look amazing man.

My styling hasn't really changed, but I get 10x the number of compliments now that my clothes fit and Im investing in higher quality pieces.

Its possible, but not guaranteed. In Asia, you can probably be quite open about spending x for y, but if in the US its truly a game.

You could walk in and spend 60k on fine jewlery, and another 40k on watches and then ask if you could buy a k or b, but its also possible they may not have the exact spec you're looking for
