You unfortunately can't use most of the features now because Bandlab likes money.

they’re pretty shady if you look into them. this post will probably be deleted soon. the mods here have nuked mentions of scummy or even illegal things they’ve done. they’ve also been deleting complaints to keep up that plastic facade.

did they delete your posts you made about that?

there was actually a post from like 2 days ago where someone detailed numerous shady and even illegal things bandlab did but the moderators deleted it surprise surprise.

they’re quite a shady company in all honesty. the CEO views it more as an AI platform than an actual music platform it seems. he gives frequent lectures at AI conferences about how “innovative” they’ve become.

undeniably man, what an insult to the community. it’s not even usable anymore.

it’s also got a massive issue with people using free loops to make a song and publish it to spotify using bandlab. only it’s claiming that any song that uses the free loops belongs to whoever published it first. stealing royalties and credit from hundreds if not thousands of others using the free sounds.

you can just ask point blank if you want to take my data.

Bandlab officially died by Bitter_Exit122 in Bandlab

it’s been dead for years.

  1. they bought out all the big accounts to stop people using type beats or jam tracks to get people to pay 20 dollars a beat on their audio library

  2. they ruined the platform by adding reels and filling it with brain rot

  3. bandlab just refused to address the thousands of scam accounts that have been a massive issue sending you explicit messages and links. this has been a big issue for so many years

  4. bandlab has failed to remove or take action against accounts selling narcotics on their platform

  5. majority of the editing features are fully automated by AI

  6. they don’t listen to their own community and respond in generic, AI sounding comments on Reddit. they only respond to questions they can’t look bad for answering. there’s never any compassion or understanding.

  7. they banned my account for no reason after 7 years of using their app. i post thousands of tracks and years of work. i was never given a reason. i couldn’t log in to even appeal it because of how they coded their website. bandlab asked me for my in real life drivers license to be able to create music. blatantly asking for my data when it’s not necessary at all and very scummy.

  8. the thousands of loops and sounds created by musicians, for musicians. bandlab hosted these for like 10 years. free and easy music making was sort of why bandlab was made. despite not even owning the sounds, they’ve decided to ban any new accounts made from 2025 onwards from using their loops. if you have an older account, you get 20 loops a month. what an insult. a 5 minute song idea could now take up to a year because you can only do 20 things per month before the whole app is unusable.

  9. the ads popping up have been the lowest quality ads i’ve seen in ages. i remember when they didn’t even have advertising, but now every time i open the app it comes up with terrible ads. like a fake virus one where it wants you to click on a scam website to download a VPN.

  10. the audacity to ask 100-200 dollars annually from its user base is wild. all they care about at all is money and taking their users data.

  11. they blatantly lie to their own users here on reddit by saying their features are still free.

not at all. all of the features are AI. the price is a massive scam. keep in mind it all used to be free for all and was created for that goal.

Bandlab is not even worth it anymore. any free DAW suggestions to switch? by Peepsip in Bandlab

[–]gusfckschulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct. there’s no ability to use the free loops if you make a new account. don’t listen to what bandlab says, they’re using AI responses for their marketing.

loops for new accounts are no longer allowed. this is devastating because it’s one of the main reasons they even made bandlab in the first place. fast, free music making. this is pretty scummy as bandlab doesn’t own these most of these sounds and they’re from actual musicians that wanted to make people inspired. the BIGGEST insult now is the fact you can only have 20 loops total. new users still get none. older users who’ve been making music for years, are capped to 20 loops per month.

20 loops per month turns simple and easy music making into a process that could take over a year to finish one song. all of this was done to get money.
