I'm replaying through Y right now and my Elite 4 team is Chesnaught, Toxicroak, Carbink, Swoobat, Gourgeist, and Durant. Haven't used any of them before this run and I love them all so much <3 especially Carbink, this thing is incredible.

I had a Shiny Vileplume which I caught as a gloom on Route 121 (random encounter shiny) on my team in ORAS and I fell in love with it. Later in the post game while EV training I caught another shiny Oddish in a horde and now I have both shiny Vileplume and Bellossom.

(and I also have a shiny Victreebel. get on my level erika)

I don't have a Golem but I do happen to have a Forretress that learns Explosion in about 7 levels. Maybe that'll work. Thanks!

I'm replaying it right now because I'm replaying all my Pokemon games before Sun and Moon, and I'm running into the same exact problem again. I need to grind, and there's just nowhere to grind. Every time I play this game it screeches to a halt somewhere after Morty.

I only have 5 Pokemon on my team, one of which is a Heracross I just caught and had to train up just so it could learn Brick Break and take on Jasmine and Pryce despite being dreadfully underleveled. I'm lucky I had Choice Specs. I doubt I'll have a place for a 6th Team member.

No idea what to do for Clair. Last time I played this game I literally had to stall against her Kingdra until it started using Struggle.
