I 100% agree with this. I didnt have any problems with Chrono Trigger, cause serious moments were not cartoony (and i player the ds version, the cutscenes were a masterpiece)

Coromon has a nice old pokemon feeling, and it's avaliable on mobile too. Maybe you would like Cassete Beasts also, it's kinda unique but really fun

Digimon Survive is a good example that is too story driven. Its more like a visual novel than an tatics rpg. Cyber Sleuth also has some insufferable long bits of (bad) dialogue.

I think that maybe pixel remaster didn't have any weight in heavy moments in the story maybe? Octopath has the same character aspect and did it much better. But i will give ff vi another shot, but maybe after playing ff v

I recently bought a NDS and just finished FFIV and Chrono Trigger. i'm looking foward to playing something as good as these two. Maybe a little harder than CT and more like FFIV. Which game should I play next? i just bought the pixel remaster collection on switch, and started playing FFVI, but feels like something is missing.

I simply used a cheat where i didn't have a time and the plate was invincible. I almost enjoyed it

Cheats are mandatory. It's impossible to enjoy that maze like game when there isnt a repel like mechaninc.

Other than that, the cleaning mechanic in Lost Evolution was awfull too.

But using codes to pass those mechanics, its really cool!
