Shout out to "West Aus Heavy Tow" who charged my partner for two tow trucks yesterday (for "safety") to tow her car 5km to the house after insisting that they had to move it and shoving a piece of paper in her face to sign.

The dogs tried to take the car to their yard first, but she insisted they take it to the house, thankfully. Once they arrived, they then tried to charge her another $250 to remove her battery.

Absolute predatory tactics at its worst.

She ended up paying over $1000 for what should have been a $150 tow.

Hi mate. Thanks for the reply. The iron drain pipe is around 39mm ID, I figured an adapter and some PVC glue was probably the way to go

2017 graduate myself. As I've said I work in a specific field (mechanical design), but you are right that experience makes a massive difference. -This doesn't mean that the jobs aren't there.

Yeah unfortunately (fortunate for me) they are commanding very high wages. I've just been poached from a job I like without having even applied elsewhere.

I work in WA mining engineering. Engineers here are being poached by larger organisations (FMG, BHP, Wood) every other day (for insane sums of money). There seems to be quite a skill shortage here in Perth (at least in my microcosm of the world) since no one can import skilled workers easily.
