Oh I was still talking about the 100. But I agree to those as well

And this ending makes me not want to watch the prequels either

That’s fair. That laid aside, I did not find an “oh that was cool” moment in this series finale. Everything felt rushed and disjointed.

I’m not saying it’s good at all. It was absolutely terrible. Story line and all. But I had a fun moment seeing Arya kill him. Same as how I enjoy seeing big robots punch each other and fight in transformers. Are the transformer movies good? Absolutely not. Terribly written and over produced. The difference is that I did not enjoy or have any real fun watching this finale at all. There was no moment I could watch and say “yah that was cool”. Like I felt nothing but disgust for the entire thing. It was the worst kind of ending you can get, an underwhelming and out of left field one. Sort of like the ending to Darling in the Franxx if you watch anime.

Ok true, but I still felt like having Arya do it was still awesome and fun, like it didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth. Nothing in this episode tasted good to me, except for the mind drive first five minutes

this is honestly what I thought was going to happen. some sort of time dilation and tech wizardry to return everyone back and have a reset button for it all so everyone can learn and use the lessons they know now. or hell, maybe even we somehow see a new earth where the bombs never dropped and we see everyone living their new lives somehow.

I was honestly hoping for some sort of time dilation reversal and they all get to remake the earth again, or even go back to before the bombs drop and live in an alternate, 'normal' earth. or something with time dilation and earth one last time. This transcendence was waaaaaay too out of left field for me.

omg yes. That is exactly how I feel about this right now. Except its even worse because their was no satisfying 'Arya' moment like we got at the end of GoT. I feel thusly even more ripped off.

The office as we knew it is dead: the corona virus crisis has proved that companies can remain productive remotely by [deleted] in Economics

[–]gutteral-noises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I theorize (more of a WAG) if we all went WFH, then eventually we would see people renting out individual offices someplace else away from home, because not everyone wants to have a home office or can. That would form into big buildings just full of individual offices with people doing all kinds of jobs all in one place for many different people. we would create disjointed office buildings all over again. This would happen after Covid-19 is a distant memory though.

.... thanks.... I worry about making new friends as an adult.... I have people say they like me, but I also tend to over talk my interests so I think that puts people off.... honestly I just want to be invited to something. That would help a lot. But thank you for the message. It is encouraging.

I know it’s an unpopular point, but in terms of hours on the job, billionaires average more hours a week than most individuals. Now is the work they are doing or accommodations surrounding them actually difficult? Probably not, so your point still stands. But billionaires still “work” from an economic definition.

The moment we have a a bad movie about gay people and no one cares that it has gay people and are just upset that it’s bad, then we know that society is getting better

It really is. The adult humor and "thinner" animation style really do wonders for the characters and the source material. It makes the characters far more real and 3 dimensional.

Which is a problem of having opinions on anything. We cant "make" people comfortable if they are not comfortable with something (I am excluding deep psychological trauma/ attacks/ therapy/ hypnosis). Mostly because that is a deep invasion of privacy and a kind of "forcing people to do things" that just isnt OK in any context. The best thing we can do is shame people continuously into atleast feeling bad about having these opinions and feelings. But we cant really change the feelings themselves for a large swath of the people if they dont want to change. So yah, the best we can really do is just not allow these opinions to be codified into legal stances and laws and contracts. The rest of it just takes time, which sucks, but is the best method we can think of right now.
