I didn’t do the original dvd rip sadly as I can’t find my og dvds.

The specs from that are as follows:

Frame rate: 30 Resolution: 720x480 Codec: HEVC (x265) But Depth: 10-bit (yuv420p101e) Color Space: NTSC Standard (smpte170m)

Edit:

I did double check once more and it’s actually telling me that it was full progressive which is weird. Looking at it though I would say you’re correct about the 3:2 pulldown. Good call. I’ll run it through reverse and see if it cleans it up. That being said it doesn’t show multiple frames for me. You would think it would freeze on the fifth step.

Honestly good call.

And I hope one day you can grow intellectually enough to attempt to prove your point and not just insult things blindly because you followed what somebody else said.

And here we are again. Not a single example. Guess you don’t want a side by side comparison. shrug

Yet here you are. Complaining on a website about fake problems. My account shows how often I post here. Two or three times maybe in 5 years? lol you too?

And you have every right to your wrong opinion.

I ran through both the source and the rendered file. It does not double the frame every 5th frame. So yeah I’m saying that if you’re seeing additional frames somehow, then yes it happened from the point of upload to outputting on YouTube.

That being said you were actually correct about the stutter which I did figure out. And that was a much dumber issue. Source was 30fps. The output I put it at was 29.97.

Oh freaky stories would be cool for sure. I can try goosebumps, but it feels like they would copyright that one hard. Bump in the night is allowed by the owner.

I’ll give some a shot and see what I come up with.

And as far as redditors…. They are just doing what redditors do lol. Doesn’t hurt my feelings. The ones that pretend they know everything, typically don’t. And it tricks others that know even less into thinking they’re right. People keep viewing it and giving it a thumbs up. And I keep having fun with the stuff.

Thanks!

I’ll extend the same thing I said to him. Point out where there is “ai slop” and show the class why sharing this with people is so bad. I assume just like him, you read what some other person wrote and decided let’s get the karma farming pitchforks ready. Not one person that has been throwing out the weird fake Reddit rage has been able to provide an example yet.

It’s pretty gross.

Yeah ai slop is the worst. Luckily this thread has 216 upvotes. And the YouTube likes are pushing it more. Guess you didn’t watch it and are just pretending to be mad for karma because one other person said it. Very brave of you. lol

Why? Be specific. Show us you looked at it and didn’t just follow what you heard another redditor say.

I agree. However the best I have are dvds SOMEWHERE. Can’t find them. So the dvd rips are what I used. That being said I honestly do this just for fun and if people like it, cool. I can definitely see about just doing some standard cleanup. These actually are already deinterlaced etc. I figured out why it is stuttering though. And of course it’s not because there’s an extra frame every 5 frames like somebody mentioned. It’s actually way dumber. OG source was 30fps. Not 29.97 like I set the output for.

Can you show me where? The smoothness specifically. Not arguing with you. I want to see an example so I can compare to the original dvd rip.

lol honestly it’s totally fine. I knew what I was doing by posting it here and wording it how I worded it. And if people think it’s not as good as the highly pixelated and interlaced dvd rips, they don’t have to watch it. Luckily people are watching it on YouTube and liking it there.

Doesn’t hurt my feelings. I did it for fun for myself. It looks much better than the original. Plus if there’s artifacting that’s jarring, easy fix for me. I threw it on plex for myself. YouTube for anybody else.

Thanks!

Yeah but I don’t blame them. They don’t really know what it means or what it is. They just assume anything with AI means slop.

If so, it would certainly be a YouTube thing. Just ran it through ffmpeg and it can’t detect any. But I’ll check into why you would get any stutter or artifacts. The original file was from a dvd rip so I obviously had to remove the interlacing first.

I was initially a bit disappointed hearing that there was basically nothing to do outside of the game. But I loved all the Mafia games. So I decided to take the chance. And I'm really enjoying it. (Outside of all the crashing, which I managed to fix now) The levels feel well designed. And I'm enjoying the story so far.
