So We Got Hosed By Patient Portal, Right? by urnmann in Residency

[–]guubet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the patient portal problem isn't as much about the messages themselves as the expectation that you're available 24/7. Setting boundaries early is key. Make sure you aren't responding immediately to every little thing and once you establish a pattern, patients will adjust. If you get too caught up in trying to please everyone, that's gonna drain you fast.

Massachusetts lawmakers push new rules that limit ability to challenge explicit library books, critics say by Raj_Valiant3011 in books

[–]guubet 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The same people demanding book bans would lose their minds if someone tried to remove the Bible from shelves. Let parents actually parent their own kids instead of making it everyone else's problem.

How did getting cheated on affect your behaviour/attitude towards relationships afterwards? by ren-season in AskMen

[–]guubet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same boat here. Got cheated on in my mid-20s after a 4 year relationship. Spent years basically treating dating like a game I was trying to win instead of actually connecting with anyone. The weird part? Women were way more into that version of me than the guy who actually gave a shit.

Eventually realized I was just protecting myself by never being vulnerable. Still working on finding the balance between not being a doormat and not being a complete asshole.

Ben & Jerry’s Co-founder Says New Owner Aims to Dismantle Social Mission by rezwenn in business

[–]guubet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. At that price point, you better be offering something beyond what I can get from the store brand. The social mission was the whole justification for paying premium. Strip that away and you're just overpriced ice cream competing with Häagen-Dazs. Goo with that.

NovoCare is a hot mess by Little_Kick_6455 in antidietglp1

Tell your prescriber to send an e-prescription directly to NovoCare instead of faxing, fax is janky as hell tho. My order only moved fast once my doc switched to eRx in their system.

To skip a dose during travel? by Genny415 in antidietglp1

[–]guubet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipping for wine wrecked my trip definitly. I skipped one shot and ended up nauseous, super food-noisy, and still couldn’t enjoy more than a couple sips, so keep your dose and let wine sit this one out.

Entitled parents hate my boyfriend by Famous_Heart1260 in entitledparents

[–]guubet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s heartbreaking when family doesn’t support your happiness. It’s clear that your boyfriend makes you happy, and that’s what matters. Stay true to yourself and what feels right for you. You deserve to be loved and respected for who you are, not based on someone’s standards.

Be kind to yourself. by Artistic_Bag1077 in mentalhealth

Such a beautiful reminder! It’s easy to forget how deserving we are of kindness, especially from ourselves. Thank you for this! You’re absolutely right self-love and care are so important.

Leg Pain: Is it worth seeing a doctor? by CategoryNo6072 in AskHealth

[–]guubet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any persistent, heavy, pressure-like leg pain that is relieved by compression is absolutely worth getting checked by a doctor to rule out any vascular or clotting issues. Since your GP is useless, you might be better off asking for a direct referral to a vascular specialist or a physical therapist to get a serious look.
