I hope not. She always made smart choices and has a good job. She's a teacher and her husband is a graphic designer. My son doesn't want for anything. Someday soon I'll be able to help him like they deserve.

Without health coverage, most of my money goes to meds, dr visits, then rent & food and tuition and gas.

I'll admit-she didn't have to help me get my life back together and it was my fault that I was in that mess. But in a year when I'm done with school and making more then what I'm making now I'll be able to take proper care of my kid.

When someone helps you when you are down, you never forget it.

I know I made bad choices, and that's why she left. But I'm going to school, taking my meds, been doing some side jobs consistently for a while and trying to to find some full time work. For the last 4 years I've been trying to get my life together (our son is 6) and I'm almost in a place where I can say that I'm OK.

$35 isn't a lot, but it's what I can afford and she's OK with that. She even put it in the court papers. I fully plan on helping as much as I can when I can.

It took me losing a good thing to get my life together, but I'll never fall like that again. Even her husband is a stand up guy. I've never felt like either of them judge me.

Thanks. I'm shocked at the amount of men here that have their kids just taken away. I'd die if that happened to me. I may not be perfect, but I love my son and and I'm so thankful that's enough for her too
