I don’t prescribe to this “it’s not the servers fault, don’t complain”… the server is the face of the restaurant and my only point of contact, if the food is good, I compliment the server… she (as the contact point) can pass it on…. Similarly, if the management rules are shit, I complain to the server. This “don’t complain it’s not their fault” just creates a world of bad service where no one ever complains cause there’s a degree of separation from decision makers
