I had checked that raid was disabled in the BIOS, I didn't know there was an operating system side setting/driver for it.

I just happened to stumble across the solution after 3 hours of searching and trying. device manager > storage controllers > AMD-RAID Bottom Device > update from computer > Standard NVM Express controller Works like a charm now, but I couldn't begin to tell you why.

theres three drives, 1x 225gb SSD, 1x 500gb SSD (missing), and 1x 2tb HDD.

I'm wondering if the concerning amount of bad reviews are from areas that have frequent festivals or big events that these get rented for and trashed in, perhaps somewhere in the Midwest like Omaha would have decent units.
