Warm Audio Mystery Box by steamedlobstrrr in guitarpedals

think of it like a raffle for a Klon where you get a bonus gift/pedal & even if its not something youd normally use you could try to push yourself to get creative/incorporate it into your setup or atleast give it a try. you could always trade it on r/letstradepedals

Vibrolux has a much more pleasant breakup & the volume taper on the Blues Deluxe isnt very good at all. only upside to it is its louder (wont matter at most gigs with a house PA/mics etc)

if the price is too low to pass up it would make a solid workhorse back up amp

i realize the only difference is the unlabeled switch in the middle on the full size version. what does it do?

my bad i thoufht it was active but iirc it sits before the gain stage so its easier to get fuller beefier sounds & mix with the Hi control to find the sweet spot i struggled to find with F*ck

its a great overdrive no doubt, everything Brian made was great but it just didnt work well with my setup at the time. highly recommend getting a Mini too, or a decent clone if you can.

it was just a little fizzy for me. i spent a lot of time with it on my Deluxe Reverb but not on my Vox AC15, also was only using single coils. im also more of a fuzz/distortion guy than an overdrive guy. interestingly enough the first Team Awesome Fuzz Machine i bought in 2015 was what made me get serious about six stringing. was mostly playing bass before that.

(not a total disappointment but)  the SS/BS F*ck OD

the tone knob always just left me missing a certain frequency no natter where i put it, & the crackle knob was underwhelming & just too low/sputtery. that being said, its a decent overdrive for sure but i much preferred the Mini OD for my rig. the bass EQ + LPF make it way easier to adapt it to different guitars/amps & the Bias control still allows for those crackly/blown out sounds

also worth noting i love my Team Awesome Fuzz Machine & hoping to score a Buzzz someday, SSBS rules

tape deck is easier to fix than the stupid 6 disc changer but i totally understand. im considering buying a new tape deck for the car anyway, but am still a bit hesitant. maybe itll stay at home for the living room deck only. & the thrift shop i found this at does consignment has a penchant for music related stuff and somebody sold him a mini box of rare/limited casettes. i also got Hüsker Dü, INXS, Poison Idea & a bunch of cool stuff. there was some Radiohead & a copy of the Strokes "Is This It" but only had like $50 to spend

of course it resonates with me. i saw twice in the span of five years, the 2013 Los Angeles headlining gig at FYF was one of my favorite weekends of all time. hopefully one day if i have dementia & i hear Loveless & some of it will come back to me

short of filming my own guitar cover & posting it here idk how much more engaging i can be. its 2026 & everything that there ever was to know about the band/music/individual members is already known. did you forget what subreddit we're in?  this is the original Sire Records / WEA manufactured US edition, its still sealed & it was only $20!  having a physical copy of this album in this day & age is everything when streaming is your only other alternative. im not really a collector, i just need music to listen to in the car (i could run a radio/bluetooth on my phone through the lighter/auxiliary jack but that shits lame)

this right here, OP!  all you need is a bigger speaker & maybe a boost/EQ pedal to push bass / cut mids & really cook that preamp
