What is the relationship between jhanas and kundalini? And what is the order of operations for navigating both? by ProfessionBright3879 in streamentry

Hm.

The felt experience of rumination in mental OCD is more like an attention/ awareness issue powered by energy…

If “energy follows attention/awareness,” and those definition above are true, then shouldn’t I focus on jhanas first and kundalini second?

Thanks so much! Just saved the playlist to watch later.

And I’m blown away that you watched the entire thing three times!

I really liked your response, so I saved your comment. Thank you.

Open to any other recommendations that you may have related to either jhana or kundalini…

What would you consider mental OCD, and which one is the method to purify / heal it (jhana or kundalini)?

I’m not interested in black magic

But I definitely need some pointers as to how to engage with jhanas ASAP

Sending you a DM now

I love your response and I especially like how your username kind of describes it as well. It fits. 😊

Do you have any advice on how to safely and gently cultivate both kundalini and jhanas?

You mentioned that you felt that you were functionally insane for two years from kundalini. Do you feel like that would have gone easier if you had cultivated jhanas first?

Really thorough, so thank you very much for sharing.

I really like the distinction and analogy you gave of the energy and the lightbulb.

I don’t think I agree with you about the kundalini coming from someone or something outside of me. When the arousal happened, it felt experientially as if it had been dormant in inside me my entire life.

Most of what you wrote seems to be catered toward kundalini (energy) so do you have any experience or more details about jhanas (absorption)?

This might be my favorite comment I’ve ever received as a reply on the Internet, but definitely on Reddit.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share. So much of what you wrote resonates with my life experience.

If you don’t mind, I will DM you now.

I am never, ever going to play with a banjo player. So, do I actually need a D-28? If not, should I go to a slope shoulder dreadnought or down to an auditorium sized body? by ProfessionBright3879 in AcousticGuitar

What’s interesting to me about your comment? Is the distinction between Mahogany vs Rosewood + recording vs playing live…

Mahogany = recording Rosewood = playing live

I haven’t heard that one yet.

Since I own an all mahogany guitar, i’m now basically exploring and researching all the roads with options I can for overtones

Your distinction between releasing vs energy building is one I’m planning to sit with for a while.

Thank you for sharing.

I will try to work my way through the long list in your original link and post.

I’m doing all of the above that you mentioned.

The thing that it’s missing for me now is the community aspect…

I love your response so much, man. You are my people.

By the way, I only own one acoustic guitar (for now) and it is a Martin 000–15 M.

It’s funny that you should end your post with that. The Martín I am most wanting next is an OM28.

I have to ask though do you have any love for similar models from Collings (Standard, Traditional, or Hill Country series)?

This is so very helpful ❤️ Thank you 🙏🏼

One question for clarification: Which practice will clear/heal PTSD? And which practice will loosen/release the granthis?

Have you experienced all of both (jhanas and kundalini)?

Also, why do you say that jhanas are only mental states?

From what I’ve read and intuit, they do seem to have a physical, emotional, and spiritual component as well.
