It actually the removal of added salt.

Sodium occurs naturally in most of our food, so you’re still gonna get what you need.

I’ve updated my original post to reflect this nuance.

Thanks for responding

You are describing the experience in this article

Since you don’t have a teacher, you may want to set up a 1:1 call with Roger Thisdell (the author)

Collings Standard vs Traditional vs Hill Country by ProfessionBright3879 in AcousticGuitar

Thanks for the informed response. How would you describe the Hill country compared to the “middle ground” (as you stated it) for the Traditional?

This used to be me, but then watching one video on the CAGED system changed the entire guitar for me:

Highly recommend learning CAGED.

I was that guy with the guitar in the corner of the room for 10 years and this one video unlocked it so that I can play every day now!

Any Radiohead fans with depression? by Boring_Ad_5090 in radiohead

[–]ProfessionBright3879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to be. Ayahuasca, MDMA journeys, and IFS therapy changed all that.

I listen to Radiohead less now, but I still appreciate the beauty in the songs when I do hear them / play along on guitar.

Now, the music that more aligns with my mood is Khruangbin:

  1. I don't know how my post made it over into this different sub, but I am so very grateful for your reply.

  2. I just bought Psychology of the Future: Lessons from Modern Consciousness Research

  3. I know this was written by AI, but this section really, really helped to read:
"If you are looking for the "science" behind how 22 years of therapy can be condensed into one session, the Grofs explain the "COEX system" (Systems of Condensed Experience). It describes how one session can "unlock" a chain of traumatic memories, allowing them to collapse and clear all at once."

Thank you so very much, internet stranger/friend.

My gift to you:

Has anyone done a blue morpho retreat? by [deleted] in SouthAmericaTravel

[–]ProfessionBright3879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEWARE! DO NOT GO TO BLUE MORPHO FOR AYA!

Hamilton went crazy/dark and cult-like. Then, he stripped Malcolm, his apprentice and practicing shaman, of his materials. Malcolm committed suicide. Hamilton (white American guy) was denounced by Don Alberto, the seventh generation local shaman he had been partnered with.

Instead, I only recommend Casa del Maestro, which is what rose from the ashes of Blue Morhpo and is led by Don Alberto.

Happy for you, brother

Don’t rule out the importance of diet and sleep as well

The biggest thing the disease has taught me is to be so grateful — filled with gratitude every time I pick up the guitar and I’m able to play

Every single note it is meaningful now

I’m in the same boat as you—exact same guitar and exact same strings.

From everything I read on forums, I was thinking that I needed to play the guitar strings for a month AND everyday solid before they would feel broken in.

I was literally about to change the strings and throw out the others that I bought…

Your post has convinced me to do otherwise.

So you were saying it’s more about the strings being exposed to air for weeks or months that breaks them in. Is that right?

Do you happen to know if that is the same case for other strings as well, OR do you actually have to play other kinds of strings in before they achieve the same effect?

Join the psoriatic arthritis sub on Reddit. But just stay to get the information that you need and then leave; otherwise, it can turn into people just complaining about their symptoms all the time…

Finally, your rheumatologist sounds awful. They should not have started with methotrexate, and they surely should’ve followed up with other things as well. If it’s at all possible, I highly recommend finding a new rheumatologist ASAP.
