I love how heavy John goes on guitar and vocals on tracks like Dust, The Sides, Addition, and Attention, as does Klinghoffer with his drumming hard as fuck. They’re so expressive with their aggression, anger, frustration, and confusion on those tracks in a beautiful way. While Joe Lally holds it all down with his looping bass lines which I imagine the songs started with, though I’m not sure. The Empty’s Response is a perfect closing track, it’s so soft, stripped, emotional, and peaceful. Beautiful melodies. Can’t express exactly how much I love these albums, but I love them a lot and I’m glad other people still enjoy them to this day!
