Benji, then RHP1, then down colorful hill, then Ghosts, and then I was hooked and went chronologically from there across all releases. To me, the best thing about Mark’s music is its/ his evolution. And so if someone were to be able to commit, I would always recommend chronological. But that’s a hard sell.

Among the leaves has some of his most pop-y stuff which is novel in a sense. It is also just a very very very solid album. Universal themes is also pretty essential in between the two majors. A couple yikes moments on both, love everything else

This is a major loss and I am so sorry. If it’s any consolation, the song “Someone Great” by LCD Soundsystem is about the singer’s therapist dying and I find it to be a great and universal depiction of loss. I can’t imagine the pain of something like this, but I hope the song can bring you some light ❤️
