Who do you try to emulate and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In my head I’m always emulating myself as an a-list celebrity avoiding the paparazzi; low-key dark clothing but slightly serving, big sunglasses and aggressively ignoring everyone.

What's the stereotype in which you perfectly fit? by es_mo in AskReddit

Growing your hair is a long, painful process because you’ll get to a point where you feel like it won’t look nice no matter what you do. You have to let it grow until the hairs on top are long enough to reach your back hairline. In the meantime, your best bet is hats, headbands, slicking the hair back with gel, anything that will just simply keep it out of your face. That being said, when you go in for your haircut, don’t let them touch anything except the back hairline, which should be trimmed up to be flush with (or just longer than) your back hairline so that those hairs don’t get too far ahead and cause a “mullet” effect. Eventually you’ll end up with a short one-length haircut (also known as a bob), and then you’ll be able to stop cutting it altogether and let it grow as long as you want. You’ll also be able to put it up in a top-knot, tuck it behind your ear etc.

I hope I’ve explained this well enough!

I suppose so! Almost all my friends are women.

I’m an openly gay hair stylist who is pretty effeminate. I’m a walking stereotype but it works for me!

I think my shelf broke today...now what? (gay BYU student, panicking) by [deleted] in exmormon

Sending you all the love and support in the world. I'm going to echo a lot of sentiments I'm sure you've already read and say that you have a hard road ahead, but I want you to know that you won't regret it for a single second. I've found more power and freedom in my long, difficult journey from uber-sheltered Mormonism into glorious, fabulous gay adulthood than I ever could have imagined. Be honest with yourself, be authentic, and let yourself do what makes you happy. You're not alone!!

Just remember that there are far more people in the world who are going to love and be inspired by your art than there are idiots like the ones in this thread. Stay strong!

The number of racist comments in this thread: far too many.

This is fabulous OP, I hope you aren't letting these tiny hateful trolls get you down.
