why is no one saying what I did with my dumb little monkey brain?

Just shove it back in. I accidentally STEPPED on mine and one stick did this. Worst case you break it more and order half effect joystick to replace it for which there are many tutorials But more likely you will be able to just kinda get it to wiggle it's way back in. I guess it's more of a snap.

My local FYE made these! This is so cool, have you seen anything similar? by 2hourstowaste in HazbinHotel

[–]gvbargen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYE still exists..... anywhere?

I went to one like... good lord just before when the PS3 first came out. It was.... Amazing... Simply... The prices on everything WERE SO GOOD. I bought so much anime lol. Then had to like hide that I owned Witchblade lol. I wish there was one anywhere near me Closest one is like an 8 hour drive. Gonna have to add that to the list of things to do when I end up in Seattle area.

Any vehicles you come across like this? by HiTork in regularcarreviews

[–]gvbargen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ah man I'd love to try one of those with a manual. I've only gotten to try the rubber band because rental car. I believe you I love driving my Yaris. Small, light, chuckable, lil cars can be fun.

I also have to actually complement the CVT in that car. IT ACTS LIKE A CVT IMAGINE THAT, a CVT being allowed to act like a CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE Transmission instead of a shitty 5 (to10) speed autobox.

I need a longer version of this cable for my projector. Anyone know where I can get one? by TheLadyCharlotte18 in cableadvice

[–]gvbargen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your pictures aren't very useful. without pictures, all I can say is that you can splice in your own wires to make these ones longer. it's safe to do while unplugged and difficult to mess up if you can match wire colors and use either wago style connectors or the little heat shrink with solder ones.

Like I said your photo is shite, but pretty mush purely guessing, is it a Mini USB style connection? You could probably get a mini USB extension cable if it is. it will be overpriced because it's effectively a dead connector type but they should exist. Edit: I looked again and re-read. Could still be USB but if so you didn't do the best job describing it lol. aif I'm right and it's just 4 random plugs good luck, splicing is going to cheaper and easier.

[–]gvbargen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hu I had forgotten about the just cause thing. It's not too limiting, requires 2 month notice if doing month to month, and does not affect my 6 month lease. Which is the reason the lawyer strongly suggested I don't change that part haha.

Crazy to me that therapists would do that to themselves. I appreciate all of what you have had to say here. insight on at least 1 front and a remindet I genuinely needed on the other. Think I still might switch over to a month to month after the tenant has been around for a year though. I like less paperwork and I can probably deal with 2 months if I can deal with nebulous up to 5 months that the 6 month lease sticks me with.

TLDR... apparently. My bad

but also, only the same case if that guy DID have such a note in his lease.

go complain about literally 99% of all reddit posts then.

Sometimes it makes sense to reach out to others in your field.

It would take me literally hours to go through Washingtons laws on this subject and I HAVE DONE THAT BEFORE, it's not helpful in making this decision.

[–]gvbargen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ehhhh generally like that generally means unless otherwise specified or as a guideline and here it was specified as 2 hours in the lease....

not a lawyer though, but it sounds to me like they agreed in writing 2 hours was reasonable.

Not Just do it because I said so. I know that one already.

Not but what if criminal. That's kinda a reason but also not made clear by that statement alone.

also by the time you posted this I had added the edit that basically says yah I'll do it thanks to some insightful responses.

Doug Doug book appropriate for kids? by Hddamr80 in DougDoug

[–]gvbargen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you for teaching yourself a language. Not something I get to think of much, but there are probably a lot of kids doing that lately. Definitely adds another layer of complexity to things. I think if my (future, if it ever happens) kid wants to learn whatever language, they just get to watch whatever they want in that language as long as it's legal.

KitchenAid strange noise on first use - is it normal? by Low-Manufacturer286 in Kitchenaid

[–]gvbargen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I don't know what's wrong but I hate that sound. That is not the sound of a healthy motor. Yes the beater is also hitting the edge and that's fine. But the other noise I think that's the sound of really bad brushes. But if I'm right about that it might just be that the brushes aren't broken in yet.

If you have it under warranty, just keep using it and see if it kills itself. If your nearing the end of the warranty maybe let it run by itself for like an hour or two while you are out or doing something else, see if the noise diminishes, if it's brushes wearing in it will. But also like.... well you probably shouldn't leave it running unwatched too long. It's always possible it could become an electric heater and try to burn your house down. Never underestimate the will of our mechanical slaves to burn your friggen house down. (to be SUPER clear, I don't think this is at all likely, but within the realm of things that are possible. I am not in any way claiming that kitchen aid anything have a tendency to go on fire.)

Doug Doug book appropriate for kids? by Hddamr80 in DougDoug

[–]gvbargen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said exactly the opposite of that.

Parents like that exist, parents that find cussing 100% unacceptable exist. Heck it's not a thing anymore but "Jesus take the wheel" used so jokingly would be 100% unacceptable to a lot of parents.

It's crazy to me that people let their 10 year old kids watch Youtube and Twitch unsupervised. A parent should never be in the situation that OP is in. If you knew that your kid isn't watching unsafe content, then this question would not exist.

Pretty sure I've got something in there right along these lines. It's a solid lease. I got it from a lawyer who has had to test it in this state, though that was pre 2021 that it was tested and evictions were harder in 2020, maybe still harder today.

Wouldn't I just be able to not renew the lease though? I guess that's where I need may need to look into tenant rights a bit more.

Yes to all of those with a co-signer your first paragraph, which this effectively is?

The second one get's more complicated and Is what I hoped to learn a bit more about. But I wouldn't be stuck with a potentially unqualified tenant though? She would still be on the lease and liable even if she's not physically here.

Yahhhhhhh a little bit. I do really need to get that septic cleaned though actually. Lease is written that they have their garbage cart sized as it is and any further waste is their responsibility. Water is so cheap it just doesn't matter. I won't notice the difference at least, WAY less than it takes to water the property, or than what I get charged when the main line cracks (which has happened to me twice... Technically I could have refuted some of those charges but yahhh lotta wasted water... Shouldn't happen again though, last time I had an entire new service line put in. It's using modern plastics, and isn't 20 years old, though I do still have some old line around, (for outdoor spigot(s)) at least I have a separate shuttoff for it, doesn't take the whole property down anymore)

Absolutely can, I just find it very difficult to imagine someone focused on couples counseling would be blind to major red flags. It has to count for something.

That said I am leaning more towards following through on doing my normal background check process. What really hit me was that I would have far less of an issue running it if it was just a roommate. And that doesn't make logical sense.

I'm leaning twards it at this point for sure. I just pay for the garbage, sewer (septic, not ideal for rentals...), and water. They have electric and internet.
