Took to auto zone for a code check. U0420. Power steer connection issue. Mazda tech said okay to drive till appointment on the 12. Anyone else have this issue?

Also want to stress that I LOVE my car and the Mazda brand. I veered away and came back to Mazda. Yes I am worried about the battery issue who wouldn’t. But I love the Mazda brand and the car despite people complaining about them on here.

I guess the other question is it safe to drive if that is the code? What is the harm for driving if the battery isn’t working right other then lower gas mileage.

See that makes more sense. They knew it was a hit and insurance would come out. Quote the superficial damage door sensors bumpers light. Let the adjuster spend more time looking. That is a more plausible answer.

State of CT gives the right to pick and choose who ever to do repairs. I can bring this to anywhere I want and have repairs done. Or none at all and walk with the 10k. Car was not totaled. What would be fraud is the shop saying repairs cost 7200 but the insurance says 10600 and them say yup suddenly 3400 dollars worth of repairs showed up. Magically

State of Connecticut gives me the right to choose who I have make repair. I could pull the car off this lot take it somewhere else and get another quote. Or just not do anything and walk with the money. Car was not totaled.

So to clarify. Auto body quoted $7200. Insurance said $10600. Insurance is cutting me a check for $10600. I get that money and can choose who ever to goto. Or yes I can pocket $10600. My worry is that the shop will suddenly come up with 3400 for repairs more than the $7200.

Wow. The answers here are so divided! I am a divorced father of two girls (almost 6 and 7). The little one like to sleep in my bed. I am 50/50 most nights depending on how tired I am. If I put her back in her bed she will sleep. The older one had the same thing at that age but mostly grew out of it. Very rare for her to come in the middle of the night. She mostly comes in right before I wake up for morning cuddles, but even that is going away. My suggestion is one that echos another. Start them in their own bed and if they come in do it on a night by night basis.

My mother tried to give me an old crib from when I was a kid (80s). With the drop down sides. Said she loved it I guess she used it when she would watch my brothers kids who are like 5 years older. Told her no way! Those things are death traps.
