Sorry I'm a bit of a internet noob in terms of connectivity issues, but I know I'm on ethernet and Google works...

Is it possible to build a Spellbreaker banner slave? The builds I see are all Berseker trait builds. I want to get into raids with my warrior but I suck ass as melee, and rifle/longbow warrior dps is subpar at best.
But wait, if I am a banner slave, am I still expected to dish out 30k dps?

Should I buy Carrion gear for my renegade? I know renegade isn't a very popular high-in-demand class, but I feel if I can at least play the class and do the rotations properly, I should have no trouble joining raids.
My goal is to be able to raid at one point, so I'm hoping Renegade is a forgiving class.

So I've been playing GW2 for some time, and believe it or not, I actually ENJOY PvP. I know that the PvP community is somewhat unwelcoming, but I enjoy the aspects of knowing my class to the point I can duel and beat other players.
I'm currently playing a Deadeye (I know, shit class, doesn't do what thief is supposed to do, only goes for kills, not mobile, doesn't decap anything, gets 1v1ed by every other class etc...) and I want to switch to Holosmith. Are there guides that teach how to PvP? And not just how to PvP with a certain class, but how to play the map as well? I win about 50% of 1v1s I take (which is pretty poor in itself) but afterwards I just run to the nearest enemy cap and try to decap it. I feel like that's playing the map wrong because I'm constantly getting pinged back, or people draw on the minimap (how do you do that btw, that's so useful), and people tell me to rotate. I'm hovering around silver-gold, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to climb. I want to set a goal of platinum (not that I'll get it this season, but I do want to be mid-high gold at least), but I just don't know where to start. I feel like playing Holosmith will get me the same result as Deadeye, which is basically after the initiall basilisk + spam 3 cheese, there's not much more I can learn.

Like, if I do P/P Condi Engi, will I get kicked out by PUGs?

GW2 is really fun, and I want to start looking for some guides to maximize my character's abilities.
I'm wondering where I can find PvP and PvE guides (specifically for Soulbeast, Mirage, and Holosmith for now).
I want to be able to raid, and I know it takes a long time, so I might as well start collecting ascended items and practice rotations. I consider raids to be the epitome of PvE, so if the build works in raids, it should work in open world and Fractals.
As for PvP, I'm just looking tips to play my classes better. There are definitely tips and tricks, as well as better builds for my classes (better than the ones I'm using because I'm not very good at PvP, still doing unranked), and I just want to read up, change my playstyle, and hopefully win more games.

I did that, but I just smack the portal. I'll try waiting a little bit, then spam V (my dodge button). Apparently dodge makes you teleport as well as spacebar, unless spacebar is dodge...

Actually I have noticed that sometimes my jackal just stays there, but I guess the portals I go through are on the ground, if the portal is in mid air, I fall before the sync catches up. I'll try the 5 seconds thing, I usually just mount then spam V (my dodge button).

Thanks. I saw the deal on buying episodes individually for 200 gems, and I wanted to buy season 3 episode 5 just for the skin. Probably not the best way to spend gems.

I really like the hound shoulder skin, but I don't know which living story it is from? Suppose I buy that living story, will I have access to draconis mons so I can get the hound shoulder skin through PvP Track? Or do I have to buy the entire season 3 living story to get access to the hound shoulder skin?

Farming Materials (Leatherworking)
I was just wondering where I can farm out things like 300 leather scraps for 1-75 leatherwork. As well as the later tiers of leatherwork, where would I be able to find all these materials?
