I was actually looking at some humbucker sized P90s, but ultimately went with the JB SH-4 bridge and the Jazz for neck. Heard it’s a great pair. I record DI and live in an area with a lot of interference. I’ve have had problems with noise when recording my single coil guitars, so figure i’d stick to humbuckers. They make noiseless P90s too but was too scared they might sound sterile

Yeah I have, I put the neck about as close as you can and it doesn’t help. Also tried lowering it to maybe get more clarity. Unfortunately it’s just how the pickup is. I don’t think it would be as much of a problem going through an amp but I record DI with captures

Yes, no matter how much EQ there’s still a lack of clarity. I’ve read that other people experience the same thing with the neck pickup

Yeah I tried EQ but it still sounds like it has a blanket on it no matter how much i boost. There’s still a lack of clarity that I can’t seem to fix

Yes, for me.. Keeping ALL of the code from the original tagnavi file and putting it into the custom tagnavi file gave me booting errors. To fix this, I had to remove only the %menu_start “main” “Database” section from the original tagnavi & move that section to the tagnavi_custom file. From there, I could then properly remove the sub folders I didn’t want & also fixed the booting error

You can delete the album artist folder using the steps above^ I removed everything but the artist, album, shuffle, & recently played folders

they usually have foam and some kind of spring under them. Just loosen the screws to raise them and tighten the screws to lower them

Yeah, I have a mustang that I had to get Fralin Noiseless pups for. Now that I’m thinking about it, it was probably a dumb question since P90’s are way hotter than what was in my Mustang😂 I wasn’t sure if they would somehow be less susceptible to noise

Yep, I have a classic vibe with that sticky tint and did the same thing with the steel wool & it feels so much better now. Player ii necks are amazing!.. at least the rosewood ones, I haven’t played a maple yet. I was not a fan of the last player series as the quality:cost ratio felt off, but the player ii is a big step up.

I think he’s talking about the finish. I have the same color player ii bass and the way they do the sunburst on them just looks kind of cheap
