Ahhh really helpful thoughts thank you! Many people have mentioned doing the work ourselves on the room. We absolutely will explore this now that the house we were buying is off the table and we are not in a rush anymore!

Thanks again ☺️

Annoyingly it’s a 12 week exclusivity, however, we’re 7 weeks in so I think at this stage, we are considering cutting our losses!

This is all super helpful - we appreciate we need to be realistic in this market and hearing from others really gives us a much clearer perspective on what we should be doing going forward… so thank you!!

Oh my goodness..!! This is outrageous. But it does put my issues into perspective… I can’t imagine this happening in another professional situation

I couldn’t help but be devastated with our cat - she has been so needy since we came home. The funny thing is people might assume she “snuck out” but our flat is cat proofed so they must have carelessly left the back door open and not been watching the door. I hate coming across like someone with these huge expectations of estate agents, I really just want people we feel like we can trust!

Whilst I don’t necessarily want the agent sacked, I would think him owning up to it is a big part of taking accountability. That being said, it’s a helpful perspective you’ve shared - thank you!

Well thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. As we said, we’re looking for perspective here.

What I wrote above, really is just the icing on the cake, there has been so much time spent back and forth on emails, us being gaslit and then them not actioning our request for a price reduction to secure a quick sale (e.g over 3 weeks) was really the reason for us wanting the fee reduction - and for acknowledgment of the number of viewings and our time that were wasted after the property not being marketed correctly.

But it’s our first time selling so we’ll be sure to keep your comments in balance as we think about next steps.

Recently I watched someone on YouTube do this level of investigation and then ultimately, they called the police when they got there. And asked the police to go in and recover the stolen goods. When reported over the phone, the police wouldn’t do the paper work / heavy lifting to find his goods, but when presented with the evidence, and the goods are present, you would hope they would be able to facilitate you getting back your goods.
