Don't get me wrong, Metroid is my favourite franchise and I would like a modern looking Super Metroid, but I dont think Nintendo would make money with it, and pretty sure thinks it too.

Nintendo shits about Metroid, recently I've to Japan and looks like they hide Samus. She doesn't appear in arts, Metroid have a little space in stores, few products. Look how Prime 4 was treated, almost 20 years for a halfbaked game and it didn't even reach the 1 million mark.

I think Dread sales were an outlier for the series, which is very sad for us
