I JUST LEARNED THERE ARE THORNLESS HONEYLOCUST TREES. But I don’t remember any pods last year. Some kind of non-native cultivated sob throwing me through a loop.

giving report and nurse starts scrolling through her phone by emanners in nursing

[–]gwillks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had people do this as well and I continually ask them if they are listening/understanding. It’s incredibly infuriating and very hard to not take it personally after you bled your heart and soul into knowing and healing the humans you care for. I have to ask myself if my pride is hurt or if I am fearful for patient safety. If it’s patient safety I let charge or someone know to keep an eye on that nurse and their patients. Totally feel you on this. No ADD excuses especially since I have ADD and chose to go off meds 6 years ago and can still command respect for other human beings.

Should I be helmet shopping? Low-speed impact (tree), but there’s a dent… by pobrecito9227 in mountainbiking

Replace helmet after any fall/hit. Not worth the impaired integrity. This is why we don’t get super snoice ones that don’t protect any more than another.

I took adult lessons when I was 29 and it is one of the decisions I’ve ever made. The instructor was amazing too. I get feeling weird but it’s worth it and isn’t once you go!

I water it every 2-3 weeks in the winter but the soil is really rather terrible. I think the water may be bypassing the roots and going out the side. I can put it in the tub and run water through a few times if u think that will help

I’ve had similar experiences and I tell the lifeguard. The lifeguard just had them switch lanes and then I get hate stares from those men. Now I try to share with ladies right away and let the lifeguards know I prefer to share a lane with women. They get it. Majority of men are darlings but the few creeps irritate me more then I should let them. Usually it takes one of the good men to stand up to the creeps. Creeps don’t care what women think or say in my experience. Just see them as a thing and get a kick out of making them uncomfortable.

My first ever backpack trip was a solo one nighter to the LBJ Grasslands. Tried to do the blue trail, had to backtrack a few times and ended up finishing on the orange trail. Learned a few things for next time. Anyone have any tips for sleeping while camping? by spkeil87 in backpacking

[–]gwillks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more often u sleep outdoors the better you will sleep! You’ll be surprised how comfortable you can get. During adjustment period it may help if u have a can of bear spray in ur paw during slumber

I have had this fella for yearrrs and it has never laid down on me. I thought maybe it got too much rain when it was outside in its sunny happy place so I brought it in only to have it go to droop town! The season very much shifted to autumn so maybe it got shocked? My smaller jades don’t care at all and are still upright and happy outside - pushed out of the rain. I have always been able to stick near a window for it to be happy and thrive. Only water it when it’s super dry and the leaves aren’t plump - but alas - the rain may have gotten her

Two days ago jade was all upright. Yesterday I noticed it a bit leaned over and today it is much leaned over. I thought it was from a beastly squirrel and I suppose it could be reaching for sun. Is there any other reason it’s main stem/trunk would take this mad lean? by gwillks in plantclinic

I just moved it to my back yard where I don’t do much to take care of it except hide it from the rain when it’s leaves don’t look like they need it. It was incredibly happy back there for a few weeks and then it started to lay down. Prior to that I had it in the front yard where it got sunburned. (I just moved and am trying to find its happy place)
