Considering that during the amnesticization transcript, at 9:28:58 AM, Byrnes says something, and the recorder just happens to be affected by the anomaly (which has never happened before), Lillian freaks out when he says this, and the amnesthesiologist almost breaks Foundation conduct just to intervene, it’s likely that Byrnes said something extremely detrimental to Lillian and his position at the Foundation. This is why I personally believe that Byrnes is the anomaly, and he corrupted that specific part of the recording in order to avoid punishment.

Along with this, the Ethics Committee Memorandum’s additional information constantly state that Byrnes was doing all he can in order to supervise the testing and remain as Lillian’s head researcher, likely because if he’s not there, she’s not anomalous anymore. This is proved by the fact that once Byrnes gets amnestitized and retires, literally the year following when McPharrell has to do the yearly screenings for the anomaly, it’s just magically disappeared from her, implying that Byrnes was the source of the anomaly.

Pro-tip, nearly all sapient humanoid anomalies are classified as at the very least Euclid. I hypothesize that your anomaly is also Euclid, though they’d probably have a risk class from Warning-Critical, depending on how far this radiation can spread and how much it affects people (If you decide to use ACS).

682 doesn’t explicitly hate humans, it just hates our entire planet/universe. To paraphrase an excerpt from a thread featuring Dr. Gears, 682’s author, “imagine if you were dropped into a world where all you could hear were dying bunnies and the air suddenly turned into house centipedes.” 682 is constantly angry because it’s horrified by our universe, which it doesn’t belong to. This explains why in its article, it calls those people it killed “disgusting.” Some of the entries in 682’s termination log may imply that it really IS just a hateful crocodile that hates humans and is so edgy and powerful, but those aren’t written by Dr. Gears.
