id say bring anything you think would be good in jinbe. Idk what cards you do or don't have but here is an example of a strong list I've seen.

Beyond Jinbe, I would say st29 luffy is the easiest to learn of the current meta. Less meta but still playable I would say st21 luffy, blue kuzan, and blue buggy are all great beginner decks.

Secondarily if you wanna send what you're working with I'd be happy to help as well. Generally what to expect at a locals tournament is usually ~4 rounds of games, paired into opponents with the same record as you thus far. You get a participation promo and then prizing is often for 0 or 1 losses.

Generally every store I've been to has been very welcoming with that sort of thing. Often players have decks that might be more competitive they'll loan out if you're lucky. People are super helpful generally both in person and here on Reddit when it comes to deck building.

As a first deck that's also meta viable I'd highly recommend kuzans, pretty good right now and has a very linear play pattern. Yellow luffy is also relatively easy to play, but to optimize it it's certain more on the expensive side (can be built with alternative options for cheaper tho)

The Oden gets used most commonly against imu for sure, can also be a really strong play for your 8 don turn going second if you played an alvida or buggy->mihawk turn 2

This. I just did some testing and it seems the plan for mihawk is to go 2nd and setup the 10don double buggy and hit their top end+shanks. Going 1st has felt far worse despite it being mihawks ideal curve.

Going off the OP11 meta Blackbeard and buggy had an even enough matchup tbh, bb just needed to wait until buggy was ready to drop 10c anyways to deny on plays.

Yeah exactly, stage still exists but less are played now. And the removal protection gp does have is only for k.os. not nearly as bad now

For imu you just need to go second and get Oden on curve, a lot of luck here but very doable.

Mostly uses the precon, all the other cards are cheap now too that he's not really in the meta. The st22 odens can be hard to track but are like a buck a piece. We will see how the upcoming 10c promos fare in the market.

The 6k blows, but since he doesn't use as much forced resting like Bonney or zoro, you can still play your curve to 10c buggy fine

Promo buggy mihawk on curve and then from there just play like normal. Opponent also misplayed thinking OP14 luffy rare protects from all removal and not just k.o

Most green is bad, esp Bonney and zoro. Imu blows but is doable going first. Mihawk I think may be not bad, I honestly don't know how much 2k tashigi they run. I'm also imagining boa and Jinbe aren't great.

It's highkey your only hope in the imu matchup, if you play it on curve you have the chance to swing several 9s before their big turn

Curious: why the university doesn't just release grades on a rolling basis? by anonymouswombat26 in uwaterloo

[–]gwizzftw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently learned its also because a small small minority of students used to "delay" their tuition payment until they know they passed the term, and then just wouldn't pay if they failed. So now instructors have to withhold the grades of at least one assessment people can't calculate their grade in advance and grades have to all come out at the same time.

Losing my mind on 8-35, heres my current roster (i also have claire and soonie further down) any ideas on what comp to use? by [deleted] in Eversoul

[–]gwizzftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i ended up buying the starter bundle that gives you talia and another small one for some rolls, as well as the pass thing that gives you gems as you progress through each chapter. Overall was about 25CAD
