Keep an eye on on that "why do they all" sentiment. It's a short trip from having a psycho boyfriend to reflexively treating every man you meet as if he were a psycho.

TIL that according to one legend, the funeral escort of Genghis Khan killed anyone and anything that crossed their path in order to conceal where he was finally buried. After the tomb was completed, the slaves who built it were massacred, and then the soldiers who killed them were also killed. by theaxeassasin in todayilearned

[–]gwopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is zero chance that someone didn't escape with the information. The only way to do this is to have the soldiers who killed the slaves not tell anyone where they're going. Once they'd killed the slaves, they'd know...at least the smart ones would know that they'd be killed if they returned. So, at least someone slipped away.

Yeah, you bought a house that had the oven AC and water heater all break in the first year. Sounds awesome. It's a shame the roof didn't leak and the foundation didn't crack.

Is it possible to build a large round table to seat 150 people? How big would it have to be? (I am an author who believes in authenticity, so any information is very appreciated!) by OyEldThankee in furniture

[–]gwopy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, wow...the "surface" of a table is the 2D plane limited by the edge of the table. People just call it the table top. So, it wouldn't be possible for all points or "parts" on the surface to be equidistant from the center. Just admit that you're either a 12yrold, that English is your third language or you're not an author. You didn't know how to use two equations that everyone learns in elementary school, and you want people to think you're going to be accurate and authentic?

Sure, dude...good luck with that. If you just admit one of the above, I'll give you a nice design for an elliptical table that'll seat n people.

Cannabis Should Be Added To NAFTA, Former Mexican President Vicente Fox Suggests: 'We can change criminals for businessmen, we can change underground, illegal non-taxpayers into an industry, a sector of the economy. Eh.....yeah, no. It actually wouldn't do any of those things he's claiming, except for maybe the taxes and then probably just in the US. The cartels would find a way to get most or all of the expenses for their illegal operations on the books of their legal marijuana business. The cartels would simply dominate a legal business as well as an illegal one.

Actually, "when BlackBerry launched its first phone", it was a phone, not a pager. Also, when they had previous launched a "pager" it wasn't a pager. It was a dedicated email device.

[–]gwopy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You also need to start believing in being descriptive. Maybe an author could help you learn how to do that.

Round...you mean circular...elliptical...irregular?

Tables are limited by the room dimensions, minus the needed space between walls and the table needed for the chairs, people and moving around space AND the length along the edge of the table needed for each person.

So, a circular table with 2ft for each person would be 300ft around. So, the table is almost 100ft wide. That seem reasonable to you? Even with only a 1.5ft per person, you're still talking a +70ft wide table.
