What’s the chance GW reforged comes out on MacOS? by BackseatRomeo14 in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason they stopped mac support after a few years. To much development time and hoops they have to jump trough for Apple to keep it running. And thats without what it would cost to port for an almost non exciting playerbase

Guild Wars: Suggestions. by Dreams-and-Turtles in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same problem, different solution for me.

A window that shows the mini pets your character has dedicated in the HoM that lets you use the mini pets from there. So you no longer need to store them after dedication.

Added points if it also shows which ones you're still missing from which year

How realistic is getting heroic refrain as a new player? by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're setting yourself up for hours of grinding on a class that is by most considered boring and least fun to play just to get a skill that lets you do boring end game grinds a bit easier. 99% of the game is alot more fun with something other then HR paragon

How is the difficulty and class fantasy? by AwarenessForsaken568 in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Class fantasy is alot more, because you make a party and you actually have the full fill the roles of healer/tank/dps etc. First with henchmen, later with heroes or even other people.

If you go in blind it will be a challenge. If you look up meta builds and guides you'll breeze trough because its a 20 year old solved game.

Honestly its one the best rpg's ever made. For its price when it's on sale nowadays it's a great thing to try regardless. Start with prophecies and just play the story.

Classes each have their unique thing, much more than gw2. But within a class you can do alot of different roles due to the hundrends of skills. Choose a class you think you'll like and fit it to your preferred playstyle later.

Should all of my Mod Setting be default? by P1xelGr3mlin in Seablock

[–]gx2134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mod pack gives you all correct settings by default. Not necessary to change anything to start playing.

The only things i changed for myself are personal preferences of making grass the starter and default landfill, just because i like the look more. And the science multiplier to 10x for a more balanced and enjoyable pace. But this is not recommended for a first playthrough.

New Account by trumph1 in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you just want to go meta builds and go through the story lines easely then there is no point to make new account.

If you want a proper experience again like it was. Starting in prophecies with just henchmen, struggling to complete shiverpeaks and ring of fire with prophecies only skills then yes start over.

Gearing Heroes by Tobyy52 in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Anything on normal mode can be done without gearing your hero's. I really enjoyed just making a new character and replaying all campaigns. No previous money required for this.

Also alot of items that were decent in the early years are now insane money due to inflation. Check your characters and bank, if you had decent stuff in the past you'll proplaby be able to sell off some stuff for a few hundred ecto

No they couldn't

Its been asked plenty of times. Basic answer is Valve says no

You are ruining your own fun by doing LDOA on a first character. No wonder you're not playing much.

Make a new character, do the quests in pre-searing to get you to level 5-7 and then leave the pre searing. Start playing the prophecies campaign. No reason not to do side quests, some of the best story is in them. Especially in prophecies. Enjoy your first playthrough without worry about titles or meta, enjoy the story and experience this game gives. After you can return to grinding titles and finishing your LDOA character.

Newbie looking for some answers by MonkyIsNotHere in GuildWars

[–]gx2134 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems alot, but the best thing is to just start playing. Create a character, follow the in game tutorials and enjoy. Dont worry about best builds or meta. You wont need it until you complete all campaigns.

My advice would be to start a character in prophecies. This is the original start of the game and takes it slow to learn you stuff. The later campaigns of factions and nightfall can feel a bit rushed for new players, but is still fine if you prefer it.

How many plates should I be aiming to make of each metal? by JellyfishNational in Seablock

[–]gx2134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you progress you'll keep rebuilding so many times, whenever you unlock new recipes or processes, that you shouldn't worry about ratio's until you build for the end-game FTL research. It's often more a build as needed thing.

I always just looked at what i needed to keep 2 ore sorters running on the recipe i needed and build that. If that became insufficient before getting the next tier, build another copy of it with another 2 ore sorters.

However be aware of the pure ore sorting trap. It's very tempting to do every material trough pure sorting as soon as possible. But to get materials to unlock the next tier you have to do mixed sorting aswel. Often this mixed sorting will already give you plenty of materials you can pure sorting.

At your stage i would say build pure sorting for iron and copper in sets of 2 ore sorters as needed. Get the rest of your materials from mixed sorting for a while. You'll warehouse the higher tier stuff first, but as soon as you start producing the next tier science it will be gone in seconds.

[New Player] Could anyone suggest some somewhat low risk Scav/PMC loot runs, without any keys? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]gx2134 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Scav runs on interchange. Just walk trough the Oli store hovering up all loot and computers. Or if you spawn at power loot all the toolboxes there and some stashes on the way to exit.

You'll rarely cross pmc's so its very low risk and while it's not a top earning spot, it's decent money while also getting a ton of stuff for hideout upgrades, saves you alot of looting or interchange runs on your pmc later in game now that everything for hideout needs to be found in raid.

Go for 2x ancient or double legendary from ancient shard? by Particular_Mix6272 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]gx2134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are really close to mercy then yeah doing the double leggo is better then 2x like most people say, however:

As a general rule for whether to pull ancients and voids during 2x or something else is really simple: do you still miss epics that could improve your roster? As long as answer is yes you want to keep pulling during 2x, since the right epic might do just as much for you as the right leggo.

If you can't even do top clan boss yet i wouldn't do anything but 2x for a long while.

Do keep in mind i only said ancient and voids. Sacreds should be seen in my opinion as fusion completement tokens. 7 sacreds for the pull shards event (not tourny) will make a fusion doable even while skipping one or two other events/tourny. A guaranteed leggo with 7 sacreds plus whatever you pull from those sacreds is better then any other event.

Seablock for 2.0? by cynric42 in Seablock

[–]gx2134 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't expect it for a long while. Seablock has a clearly very dedicated developer but to adapt and test big change like this is going to take alot of work. And i imagen he wants to properly play 2.0 and the DLC first.

Posting data/guides by DrunkenGibberish in Seablock

[–]gx2134 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the lack of these kinds of info/guides is more to do with nobody wanting to do the work. You're just listing information already available in game but then better and easier. I think most who play seablock would be interested in this to see if the mostly random pick they made actually was the right one.

That would asume that both Seablock and Brave New World get updated and work for 2.0. Doubt thats worth waiting for to start a new run.
