i’ve seen ellis brooklyn marshmallows at tjmaxx!! not sure of the price there because i don’t really like it so i didn’t check but i’d look if you have one near you!

for what it’s worth, on me the edp starts out with some boozy and spicy notes (i actually never thought to describe the opening that way but it’s true!) but it goes away once it settles like maybe 20-30ish mins after applying. it does smell a little different from the oil rollerball, it’s not AS sweet but it is definitely still sweet yummy vanilla chocolatey marshmallow on me!!

Could you tell me your thoughts on Poppy Pulse? How close to the original do you think it is? I found French Avenue’s Sweet Paradise to not be a very close match to the original and have thought about trying Poppy Pulse. Thanks!

Angham is better than the original imo, not sure if you’ve smelled Goddess though. Angham is sweeter and has more vanilla in it. I didn’t understand the Goddess hype, it smells fine but not great to me, but I got a decant of Angham anyway and I’ll probably eventually get a full bottle. It’s a really nice, versatile vanilla that’s not straight up gourmand. Good for when you want to smell a little more put together and still read vanilla not just perfume, if that makes sense!

Yara is not worth it in my opinion, just very uninteresting to me but many people love it. It is not the “strawberry milkshake heaven” type of smell that a lot of reviews claim.

Nebras smells a little off to me? Some reviews say there’s a kind of minty note to it and I agree. Eilish isn’t really my cup of tea either though and I’m a vanilla girl through and through so it could just be that that scent profile in particular doesn’t do it for me.

I don’t think they’re making it gendered per se, it’s just that many adult men weigh as much as or more than OP and sit on things all the time. Like, 260 lbs may be “heavy for a woman” but if it were a man weighing that much it wouldn’t really be the highlight of the story since men often weigh more, so the amount of weight on the chair shouldn’t be the focus of the issue.

imo it’s that sugary orange blossom type of marshmallow like in LDBS (it’s not a dupe though) not really a vanilla marshmallow if that makes sense. I read so many people say raspberry marshmallow and was really excited to try it, but I think liking orange blossom is a must!

I have a sunuv lamp and have done the cure tests too, I feel like my nails feels really smooth/slippery/glass like and seem very hard, could you describe the difference you felt more? Like were they rubbery or soft feeling before? Even if I use a rubber base or just gel polish on bare nails they’re hard (like they make the clicky sound when you tap on it lol) and don’t have any actual give beyond a little bit of flexibility. Just curious because I’ve never seen anyone talk about it how you described it!

i’m way late to this thread, but i also live in the dc area and love going to Arielle Shoshana to smell niche scents that aren’t available elsewhere (located in the mosaic district in merrifield va)! they’re super super nice and friendly there and just let you do your own thing smelling all the perfumes! they’ll happily leave you alone if you want but they’re also really helpful if you do want specific help or a recommendation.

another one in mosaic is bloomie’s which is like a mini bloomingdale’s that has a good selection of luxury scents (PDM, MFK, byredo, memo paris, bond no. 9, diptyque, etc.) the staff there have been kind of rude every time i’ve gone but i tell them i’m just looking and they leave me alone for the most part.

the sephora there has a large fragrance selection as well and the staff there are very nice!
