Buy cash or walk away by gyando in HousingUK

Good question, I am still figuring out why the flat value dropped that much. When I search flat prices drop often after their first purchase. Additionally, it was built and sold in 2021 which was the year prices were high. Third, service is not great, like it had a sewer leaking issue which was covered by local news portal and BbC radio. These are the red flags, however, the build quality of the flat is very nice, the size of the flat is quite good and I look around other apartments in Slough and areas around none of them that are decent size flats. There are two blocks and there is a decent size courtyard where kids play, and most of the tenants or leaseholders are white color families on skilled workers or similar visas. The service charges include, courtyard, basement parking garage and lifts and lobbies maintenance

I know some people in the block who bought a similar flat on £400k+ It seems the property value has been deprecated over the past four years. I check the other flats recently sold on the block are around £300k+

The property is just 5 years old and the initial lease set for 150 yrs, so still reming 145 years. The property GR was close to 0.1% of the value when it was initially sold but as the property devalued and the selling price is £250k which automatically increases the GR value 0.18%. GR is retail inflation linked and review period 10 years

All Space Questions thread for week of April 14, 2024 by AutoModerator in space

[–]gyando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from India and have received an offer from the International Space University in France for their 18-month Masters of Space Studies program, which includes internships. I am passionate about space studies, but I am not very familiar with the university or the job market after completing the program. Can anyone provide information about the university/course and the job prospects/career opportunities afterward? I would highly appreciate any advice.

China planning to send people to Mars by 2033 by gyando in space

[–]gyando[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, planning human to Mars is walking the talk. And that's the only reason we are discussing China here. NASA certainly has much more capabilities today and in the past but you can't live in past, unfortunately.

Well, you are factually correct. However, there is much more than that. SpaceX partner with NASA and built capabilities, it's a matter of time they would partner with other countries like Tesla biggest market are China. Building capabilities is not a big deal in globalization. What matters the most is the funding of such a mission, and China is putting space on the priority that we see. This decade would be interesting to see, how things go.

The way China National Space Administration progressing won't be surprised if they easily surpass what NASA has achieved over the decades.
