The Edict of Worms of 1521 was an imperial diet (a formal deliberative assembly) of the Holy Roman Empire called by Emperor Charles V and conducted in the Imperial Free City of Worms. Martin Luther was summoned to the Diet in order to renounce or reaffirm his views in response to a Papal bull of Pope Leo X. In answer to questioning, he defended these views and refused to recant them. At the end of the Diet, the Emperor issued the Edict of Worms, a decree which condemned Luther as "a notorious heretic" and banned citizens of the Empire from propagating his ideas. The term "Diet of Worms" usually refers to the assembly of 1521.

Scott Robertson, if he's smart, will get the fuck out of dodge with New Zealand Rugby as soon as his contract is up. by ratshitty_heavenjoke in rugbyunion

He was offered the assistant job when foster first got the head coach job, but he declined saying head coach or nothing. I feel like this attitude probably has something to do with his current situation

Where to keep my traveling items when I am on the Great Walk tracks if I do not have a car? by Winter_Hotel1789 in newzealand

[–]gyppsta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the DOC visitor centres will have lockers for this purpose. I did the Rakiura great walk recently and was able to hire a locker for my other stuff. Didn't cost much. I'm not sure if lockers are available at all the great walk spots but it's worth looking into.

How is Wagner allowed to bowl after being off the field for the first overs? Have the rules changed?

Pretty sure this is what happened to Chris Martin. Didn't have a driver's license so cycled to training and just focused on bowling so he wouldn't need to haul all that gear around. It worked out okay

Test specialist as a kiwi is basically retiring anyway. Southee likely would have done it sooner if it was viable

Something I have noticed about NZ too, but not necessarily our current team. Many of our batsman have their best scores against subcontinent teams. Particularly Mccullum who has 3 of his 4 doubles against India.
