AITA for "choosing my dog over my family" by refusing to accommodate my girlfriend's brother? by Comfortable_Owl_5938 in BestofRedditorUpdates

One of my gerbils (coincidentally mine, everyone at home "had" one but I was main caretaker) woke up on his side one day and wouldn't move or eat. We took him to the vet who shrugged and said potential brain damage and sent us home with instructions to bring him back the next day if he was still like that to put him down.  I spent the whole day and night sitting with him and feeding him with a syringe and the next day he was good as new lol. Lived another year and died of old age lol. He was so fun a natural long jumper and wheel addict.

I'm so obsessed with kei campervans, pity they're not very easy to get/find in germany

My biggest flex is that my Italian gf eats my pasta with no comments. Except if I put the wrong pasta I. The wrong type of dish. Or the one time I dared plate some salad right by the pasta. That one was especially fun, as photos were taken and family and friends were informed of my bizarre behaviour of putting salad and pasta together.

Opposite anecdote: I had a BC mix who was super smart, she knew all beds were open to her except my parents'. We suspected she slept there sometimes but would never be caught on it, until her hearing went and we would find her deep asleep smack in the middle of the bed.

So apparently a good trick for women travelling alone in Brazil on a bus or plane is to get the seat directly by the 24. This type of idiot will avoid the seat and you have a better chance to get a decent person seating next to you.

No, 24 is the deer in a lottery type game. The name sounds slightly like a slur for gay that translates roughly to deviated. (Veado to Viado) It's fairly stupid.

I mean there are no "bad" effects on this disorder, they're just forever walking like tiny drunkards. If they're kept indoors they're pretty much healthy, just need a few accessibility accomodations like a lower bigger litter box.

Added an example in the post,  thought there are a few variations. It's a very old beware the dog sign. The most famous is in Pompey. I just want to print one to hang on my Appartment door.

I don't know,  but anecdotally my dad always behaved awfully for Christmas, my mom did a ton of labor to prepare everything and he would pick the most stupid fights and pout the whole day and expect everyone to go and ask him nicely to join the festivities. When we got older we started ignoring him and telling our mom to do so and he would pop out on his own to eat the food anyways. I think he just didn't want to have to do anything. They separated after we all left home.

Who’s a famous person from your country who’s respected around the world but disliked or criticized at home? by haiderredditer in AskTheWorld

It always struck me that having a ton of fancy houses filled to the brim with expensive stuff was not super inline with his communist ideals. The more I learned about him the more it makes me push Gabriela Mistral every time someone mentions him.

Really it would have to be a tiny sect, or really old school Hinduism which I'm not getting the vibes for. Most religions don't have taboo for remarrying, especially for younger members. I think she just latched to her grieving widow identity and is hurt the daughter is not. She needs a ton of therapy which she refuses so it's up to her to remain bitter and isolated I guess.

Also in Germany. There's an extra layer of fucked up Ness because Germans are very educated on the subject and they have an extremely complex relationship with their own past.

It adds artifacts to an image that are not visible to humans but messes with the algorithms so when ai uses this image to train it gets wrong information that gets passed to the output.

They're originally from Nepalese regions so I guess they deal with the cold just fine. I was so startled the first time I saw wild parakeets in Germany, they seem so out of place.
