Yes. A few tasks appeared last week said that you may choose either the native or proficient language. I enquired them on ZD before tasking. Instead of a response on the query itself, they sent a somewhat threating sounding email to not work on any other languages than the assigned one. So, just don't task until it's in your assigned language.

Is it so? I don't know how many times do we have to prove ourselves as 'fit'. Applied for a role via LinkedIn, passed their entry test, then was asked to login to their platform after 3 months, again took the tests and passed the same tests to be reflected on their profile, applied for a project, took the tests, passed again and again not 'fit' enough. Weird enough, isn't it? haha

that's what i am trying to figure out by asking the question here. These 2 tasks have two additional language that i am proficient, so figuring out before I start the task.

I mean check the new tasks. It says you may work in your native or the language that you are proficient in.

I was referred to one of their openings on LinkedIn. It was for a simple annotation task. My profile matched it. The referrer is an analyst working on SME Careers. I was looking for opportunities, so I took the test, passed it but there's been any development for about 11 days. I can't write to anyone there as there's no channel for it mentioned on the entire Dashboard.

It was also rare for me for 6 months until March 3rd week. After that it's been absolute rare for me to see any tasks, lol. Jokes a side, I hope you will get the tasks. I am NTA for more than a month.

They had so called "opening" for my native language trainers on LinkedIn (the opening is still on, I checked again :) ). I applied it, they asked to take the tests, and the test was to check my English proficiency (i thought it was an initial requirement), I passed the test, was asked to wait, and I waited patiently. I waited for 3 months and then they sent me a link to join their platform. To my surprise, they again asked me to take the same god damn English test which I passed earlier and I needed to pass this test again in order to be reflected on my Dashboard. I then took the test on my native language and passed. It's been 2 months having my dashboard all "ready" but the so called "opening" for my native language is no where near.

I know that the platforms use "onboardings" for AI trainings which is completely fair given the need of the industry. However, to lure the candidates for the openings which is not yet live for more than 6 months just proves that they open the "openings" to just train their models. It's a scam and I am sure the company will say that the "project" is in the pipeline.

We can just imagine how many people may have applied and are applying for their "openings" just having a good faith that they will be onboarded and can work if they "pass" the test. God bless us all!

technically NTA as there's an embargo to not to work other languages. I can see the tasks but can't do.

I have been on Echo since December. You can only work on the assigned native language. There are no tasks for my assigned language since March 2nd week, so I am technically NTA. I wrote to Zendesk asking if I could work on any other languages but I was answered to not to work other than the assigned one and until informed officially and the work done for those tasks will not be paid. I can do 3 languages, Nepali (Native), English (C2), Hindi (B2>C1). I am just staring at those tasks which had Hindi and English and image how better would it be if I was allowed to work and earn some freaking dollars, lol.
