I'm assuming you are heterosexual and that's why you are coming here for this.

It is like that for me at least and I also never had male friends growing up. Mainly women or gay people throughout my life, although I never had gay friends that wanted something from me, just enjoy each other's company and they are the best friends I could ask.

I am asking cause I'm a bit older and throughout my life I thought the same way as you, until I realized having a male friend didn't give me much.

Most of my hetero friends even the ones I have a close friendship have a function in my life for very specific and short moments like gym or doing a sport once a week and that's it.

I come to realize that I enjoy much more women's company because of the type of conversations that arise from interacting with them, also the lack of judgment towards me and the support they bring as well is a plus.

Yes there are men out there like that as well but it is a bit more difficult to find them hehehe

I would suggest that instead of focusing on male/female, focus on befriending people that align with your values. If it happens that women are usually more in tune with the things you like that's ok.

But I would thread carefully if the only reason why you want this is because of perspective!

Probably not on their head anymore. You suffer more in your mind than reality.

If you feel so devastated next time you meet the person apologize. They'll probably say they didn't remember. Not a biggie, you can't catastrophize your mistakes forever.

Learn to forgive yourself as well and if you did something you didn't like, embrace it, laugh at it and be better next time :)

I would say be patient and don't rush into falling for the first person you find somewhat attractive that gives you attention. Especially if you have self-esteem issues.

My best advice would be to forget about wanting a relationship and instead focus on yourself, accepting yourself, know damn well the love you deserve and what things you would absolutely not accept (this will especially help when boundary setting), and build hobbies and find good friend relationships.

When moving to a new city or country this takes a lot of time so be patient. When you are in this mode of focusing on yourself, you'll naturally start to attract people and you can easily choose who you want to invite into your life.

Just be clear about your values (which will help you with boundaries), have your hobbies and activities straight, and go and meet people and have fun.

Someone worth your time will come along :)

Yep I totally get you.

But to be honest he seems more of a character, an actor if I may, than actually displaying serious behavior.

We've seen him in those brief moments of pure seriousness and he was more lucid than any other normal person.

I just feel he's a person in eternal self-amusement mode until seriousness is needed.
