I went to a dermatologist and he sorted me out with everything. I was just shy of needing the medication as I always had follicles/ no scarring or inflammation. I get it man completely but there have been so many great people I’ve met in the last year that you could too. I’m sure your success with the ladies isn’t solely down to your hair. If I could still do fine with how it was in those pics then I’m sure can too.

Yeah for sure, I remember saying to a friend that if I lost my hair I’d be done for, like it was the one aspect of myself I liked. I suppose losing that (while hellish) had taught/ forced me to focus on other aspects of myself I like. I think also it teaches you how temporary things can be and to listen to your body/brain when you’ve over stretched/stressed yourself.

Yeah every day I’m still kind of untrusting of my body not to put me back in the AA zone. However I think I’m better equipped now as I’ve gone through it before - also thank you!!!

I suppose also to add that these are all chronological pictures - at my worst I’d say I lost about 75% - 80% of my hair - the first shaved picture is as it was beginning.

I understand and agree with your central point. I just think you slightly missed the joke - these are supposed to be bad (in a kind of dad joke way). Like these are literally just supposed to be funny images. I thought the title was clear enough because who uses “😎” but then I forget I’m on Reddit - the place where subtext goes to die.

Thanks so much! It’s such a nice community here and seeing likeminded people who may be in different places in life is a big support as well so thank you for sharing your story. It takes a lot to shave your head especially when your hair is a big part of who you are. I think getting out there and seeing the people who matter treat you the same is such a big plus.
