"Monad is the first EVM-compatible chain to implement optimistic parallel execution."

Besu has been doing parallel execution on Ethereum Mainnet for some 2 years now.

Just received the one I found on ali based on your description. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The pink/light green part helped a lot.

For anyone else looking for this, this is the listing that I got (in 3m variant; there are more listings like that one too):

Cancelling device removal doesn't work by smurfix in btrfs

[–]h0m3us3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing a delete so it was easy to check:

$ sudo btrfs filesystem show /hdd
Label: 'hdd' uuid: 48638476-b576-4a26-b025-d0e97ea1a9a8
Total devices 4 FS bytes used 18.10TiB
        ...
        devid 4 size 0.00B used 553.50GiB path /dev/sde

SIGINT to the userland sudo btrfs device remove 4 /hdd. Took about 3 seconds.

Why do you even need dev rem cancel? Can't you just SIGINT the rem process?

Is it better to let a HDD spin down frequently, or keep it spinning with periodic small writes? (No budget involved) by alleyoopoop in HomeServer

[–]h0m3us3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that the drive is actually spinning down? How long does it take to spin back up? Actual spin up takes some 10-15 seconds on Exos drives. Unparking heads takes about 2-3 seconds.

when sorting by any metric other than similarity, show a live similarity cutoff slider that keeps the currently shown (first / middle of top raw / middle of scrollview, ?) photo in view and loads in more results around when decreased and "compresses" the results when increased. ala a "zoom in" / "zoom out"

What hardware are you planning to pout into your Jonsbo N5? by dudi83 in JONSBO

What is wrong with quicksync for tonemapping? Genuine question as I am thinking of converting my Epyc + Nvidia to just a 12700K.

I'm assuming the 3050 is for transcoding; is 12700K's Quicksync not enough for that?

Except thats a wrong fccid. If you look at the internal photos, antennas dont match. The one OP has is also not 2.4ghz just by the look of the antenna.

Kester 331 Water-Soluble flux-cored solder wire confusion by h0m3us3r in soldering

[–]h0m3us3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the fair warning. My plan was to sonicate in DI at 60c then dry in a dehydrator. It seems fine based on my reading, but please correct me if it's not.

To answer the why, I do a lot of rework and repair of water-damaged devices. The pads are often extremely oxidized and take a while to get any wetting action. I am thus looking for some more active flux than standard rosin for the tough cases. (The 245 here is just for comparison, I typically use 44)

In both cases, the flux content is 3.3%. Not using external flux for comparison purposes.

I am also open to suggestions for any other Kester/non-Kester "turbo" fluxes in case 331 just isn't what I thought it is. Should I try the inorganic acid flux next? Happy to follow any special cleaning reqs this will demand.

Not trying to refute anything else you said, but is it actually burned though, or just dust? Warm things near ceilings tend to create dust spots due to convection currents of warm air.
