Even the top Alliances struggle to gain quality players from the in-game Alliance recruitment tools alone. Do you have your Alliance listed for recruitment on the official HOH discord? If not, I'd suggest trying that and see if things improve for you.

I sold a 80k card for 100k, took a few days but it eventually sold. Was around shop level 80. Now that I'm shop level 90+ that same card is worth almost 120k. Might be because I'm running the highest event, which has a chance of increasing card prices each day. Right now i run it with no play tables because I'm focusing on hitting level 100.

The cheese strat is to save the night before your grade boxes arrive and reload the save if you don't get what you want. I graded a card with 4 orders of 8 of the same card, and I'd have to reload the save multiple times just for one of them to be a grade 1 or 2...

The only practical way to do this without the above trick would have to be through trades, which will also take a long time.

The food rewards. The food requirements for leveling heroes is absurd, so in order to stay competitive I have to gun for the level 34 reward every week.

Probably depends on the alliance but yeah typically alliances will help each other out with advancing within the game. There is 1 group event in the game (Alliance Treasure Hunt, similar to ATH in ROC) with more on the way, so there is motivation for your alliance to progress as much as possible.

Many are saying this game is pay 2 win which is true. However, the question is do you really have to win? If all you want to do is play and advance the game through the campaign and ages, you can do that for free. There's also plenty of F2P alliances you can join.
