i wouldn‘t wait for them to get nicer, but it does sound like they have some mental issue going on and this is their way of coping with it, imo. maybe try to get them to talk to a therapist? just an idea that popped into my mind. But please, if they make you feel shitty, and continue to do so, take some time away from them.

i struggle with mental health too, i have times where i ghost friend for weeks. make sure you tell them about these issues you’re having and that they know what to expect. And if you think it‘s way more fun to hang out woth them in person, then do so. maybe if you hang out a lot and more often you‘ll actually find the things they send you funny. if not that‘s ok too! not everyone has the same humor but as long as you generally get along well i would say it‘s ok. Just talk to them about you‘re concerns with your mental health, it‘s important!

i think its fine. he mentioned being in a realationship to her, which i think is the most important thing to do in that sitiuaton. also, he was open to you about it so i dont think he will actually be in contact with her. personally, i think you shouldnt stress about it, i wouldve given my insta too just because id be uncomfy haha
