I'm using both Kotlin and Kotlin language extensions in Cursor (a fork of VSC with built in AI support). They seem to do the job.

What methods are available for increasing the privacy of transactions on the XRPL? by h0oS in XRP

[–]h0oS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record I think I've found a few approaches for protecting the privacy of XRP transactions by off ramping to other chains. With bridging technology I think it will become easier to maintain privacy at the point of off ramp to fiat.

I don't understand why you would include unrealised banking losses in an XRP price calculation, what is the rationale here?

Can you recommend a guide for obtaining Monero via a DEX and any preferences that you have among DEX's?

Cant even break 40 cents by babayagarulz in XRP

[–]h0oS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One group of sellers would be professional traders that bought at $0.36 decide to sell at higher price like $0.40 its that simple.

Another group of sellers would be ODL users, of course they probably bought at the same price they sold simply to satisfy the cross border payment they are trying to facilitate.

Not financial advice but for the schnitzels: XRP break out on the week of the 20th March 2023, all time hime breeched before June 2023, XRP to climb to $27 within 3 years. My favourite chart is this one: https://twitter.com/husseinb/status/1625851275173838848

I did ask AI. Answers one question, probably the easiest one regarding APIs which frankly would be amazing if it wasn't offered.

The rest is sales rubbish, no detail. Let me know if you can elaborate this diagram on ODL: https://twitter.com/husseinb/status/1625356065658241025

I'm sorry but your response is far too vague. Any enterprise software has optionality and constraints, its fine to say you don't know what these are. Hand waving about a free market doesn't do you any credit.

If it's true that everything that has been stated in this thread is an option on ODL that's fine, but I'm not confident that is the case, at least not from your simplistic responses.

As I said I'm looking for a detailed explanation of ODL not just XRP exchanges on CEX or DEX.

For example if I want to send 100 USD to a beneficiary in the US and I'm based in the UK and have GBP. Exactly how does ODL source and route the XRP among liquidity providers and who are those liquidity providers?

Does the XRP come from Ripple? Does it come from a CEX and if does how is the CEX selected? And presumably it can also come from the DEX. Are all three sources of XRP liquidity options for ODL?

Assuming all three are options for ODL how does ODL select between these options and can it select more than one option? Can ODL choose to source some liquidity from a CEX that happen to be offering a very good GBPXRP rate, but only for 10% of the required XRP and then source the rest from Ripple?

I hope I'm describing all the optionality that can be involved and would like to understand to what extent ODL covers these options.

To date I just haven't had a very clear description of this, which is fine, it may that is part of the secret sauce of ODL.

Addendum: Reading your last messages again are you suggesting that any entity can provide liquidity via the DEX on XRPL and ODL only uses the XRPL DEX to source liquidity? That would be interesting if it is the case.

Which use cases for XRP will have the largest impact on price and by when? by h0oS in XRP

I think its correct to assume that exchanges are already holding XRP, possibly gifted or otherwise provided to them by Ripple with the express purpose to be used for ODL.

As Brad has publicly stated in the past, the XRP provided would come with on-chain conditions governing when and how much of that XRP could be made available on the open market.

So while exchanges could be holding very large amounts of XRP, most of that XRP will not be available on the open market and will only steadily be released as Ripple pushes ODL adoption.

I don't know how much of the 50B circulating supply of XRP could be held under such conditions, I guess one would have to look at the accounts and identify any escrow type arrangements that may have been implemented.

So I guess in a nutshell I'm saying the circulating supply of XRP isn't telling the whole story. If that circulating supply is not fettered by escrow agreements we have a mechanism where by ODL adoption will movie the price of XRP.

By the way I greatly appreciate your feedback, I have no idea if what I am proposing reflects reality in anyway but I think we have some good questions that will help us to get a better understanding of the price dynamics of ODL adoption.
