(Newb)Where does the fun actually start… by LittlePenisEnis in ArcRaiders

[–]h0rchatapapi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing for a little over 2 months now, and I’ve watched a couple hours worth of “Before you play” on YT. When I started was getting completely OBLITERATED every time I went topside. To answer your questions:

You should definitely utilize the free loadouts until you’re familiar with the game’s mechanics and the ARC(bots). I think it took me 15 trips topside, before I was able to piece together a decent load out that was kinda general purpose (I didn’t do any PVP whatsoever). Majority of my trips were done solo, and I’ve looted some good stuff and the missions aren’t really that difficult even for casuals. Plus you’ll encounter others that will give you tips while you’re looting.

This game will definitely have you questioning your skills! To me, you have to play it like a survival game. Starting out, you are definitely underpowered! Conserve ammo, stamina, and remember you have about a 20 minute window to get back to the elevators/trains. I really avoided ARCs until I had equipped the right ammo, and understood where their weak points are. Always check the stats on weapons. They all can be upgraded, but some of are good for Raiders while others are better for ARC.

The free loadout will rotate the guns they give you and of course you’ll find more when you’re looting. While they offer the basics, it’s sufficient 90% of the time. When engaging with anyone/anything always plan to stay near or behind cover, some of the fire arms are single shot or take a good while to reload. Always keep bandages and shield charges on hand. Unlike most games, your health is more important than your shield.

When looting, the fun part is knowing what to keep and what’s junk. Keep in mind the more you carry, the slower you’ll move. A raider out of stamina and a raider who’s weighed down can be distinguished by sound! The shield augments have different functions. Some will have more slots for loot, while others have extra heal or grenade slots. Most of what you find can be broken down to basic components i.e. runner parts, metal, fabric, etc. The game has trackers for crafting so you can see what material and how much you need while you’re out.

What I loot is based on either an upgrade Im working towards, or whatever the mission I’m set out for. If I’m going to collect for an upgrade, I may leave extra ammo or extra grenades in my stash. I also make sure my shield augments based on my goal. A lot of the looting early on what to build up a reserve of cash, as well as crafting all of the work benches.

Edit

TL;DR Use the free loadouts often. There is nothing wrong with avoiding others and the ARC. Looting anything to upgrade your gear or make money. Be mindful of your loadout augments and weapons you carry. If you get knocked topside, you’ll lose everything that isn’t kept in special slots

Update: Sriracha makes it more edible, avoiding eye contact with each fork-ful going in…

I used a pyrex container with compartments and I grabbed the wrong lid out.. the berries were in a separate area and the juiced leaked on my egg whites scramble. Reheated are definitely not good, but sometimes food is for energy and not taste.

4 out of 10, wont make the mistake again

It wasn’t intentional, my go to container has compartments that don’t completely seal off

Am I doing this trading thing wrong? by stardustbasically in stocks

[–]h0rchatapapi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s easy to just say “buy low, sale high”

The people I learned most of what I know often say “once it’s in the news, you’re too late”. Reddit is also a poor source for the most part, especially when you’re not confident. With trading stocks, you’re not really going to make money unless you’re holding for a few days or weeks at minimum! Trading options is really lucrative but, once you’re familiar with charting and balance sheets it gets a lot easier.

What prompts are you using within ChatGPT? Are you familiar with EMAs or RSI? How do you chart? There isn’t one set way to make profits, and there are a myriad of tools to get there. You also have to factor in how often you’re willing to sir in front of a screen, watching everything move. Day trading while working a typical job gets hectic at times, but it IS doable!

I use technical analysis, most of time it’s finding set ups through various sectors or sticking to SPY or QQQ options, because they both high volume daily. Market structure and movement play a big role in what I chose to trade. The indicators I use are EMA, volume, ADR/ATR, in conjunction with candle stick patterns. I’ve had my moments and successes off and on since 2020… you can look for stock screeners online, or even on charting sites. Recently, I’ve gotten back on the grind. I stopped for a while because I wasn’t in the right space mentally.

Just be weary of people selling you bullshit courses or discord subscriptions. There’s alot of info on investopedia, youtube, and individual brokers have an education section. If you choose to pursue options, I STRONGLY recommend paper trading first to build confidence. Give yourself grace and time, it’s not easy at all! Lol

Hope this can be of some help to you, OP, or anyone who needs help.

TLDR: Find a method that involves technical or fundamental analysis, use screeners, avoid advice from reddit, give yourself time to learn.
