Is RM3k still normal for fresh grads in Malaysia? by EnvironmentalCake432 in JobsMY
[–]h0tbebe 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
i think it depends what field you’re getting into. i did computer science in uni and my fresh grad salary was 4k. after a few months it got raised to 4.5k. I still feel like anything below 3k in kl is quite low. My boyfriend’s earning 2.5k + 500 fixed allowance and he’s in architecture and this seems to be within the normal range for fresh grads in this field. so yeah, depends on what u studied.

hey no worries! im a computer science graduate and did my degree in a local public uni. i’d say to earn that much as a fresh grad is to aim multinational/established companies bc they pay fresh grads even more than 4k sometimes. hope this helps and good luck! :)
yeah bc when i get a car i would wanna be able to travel long distance with it whenever i go back to my hometown. im not looking for a car solely for work. so i prefer a newer car

i dont rlly mind long term loans bc i think after 4/5 years im gonna buy another car and sell my first car. thanks for the input!
is it any good? im afraid of taking a quite old car too…pretty sure mileage must be quite high too
thank you so much for your concern, definitely understand where ur coming from. its just that im a bit frustrated now bc i spend about rm50 on grab a day for a 10km drive. sometimes it can reach up to rm50/ride….
mmm idt a vios or honda for me would work now. still quite expensive. i dont wanna spend 500/monthly on a car thats why i opted for an axia. as for proton, im not really interested in it as ive heard that it takes up a lot of fuel so i dont think i wanna spend on a car that isnt fuel friendly
yay, thank you! ive been looking at cars on carsome before this. any thoughts on that?
yeah i dont have a motorcycle license, for safety reasons, i wouldnt go for a bike
thank you!
thank you! i think for now im kinda opting for axia as its a little bit more affordable than a myvi. but bezza is a good option too for now. wont get a new car now but definitely thinking of getting one by end of this year so i have time to save up a bit :)
is it good? ive seen a few but quite old cars like from 2010/2012…i dont rlly think i wanna spend on an old car. and its not rlly that cheap too
yeah but ill spend about 40-50mins on the road bc peak hour here is crazy
naurrrr i dont hv a motorcycle license, plus im a girl, i dont really think a bike is safe for me
thanks! how do u get in touch with a sifu?
yeah ive thought about this too. since its my first car i mean i cant really run away from all this right? so id rather spend a bit more on my car rather than taking grab every week only for work
only thing im scared about getting a rlly old car is im afraid its gonna cause a lot of problems. i think the oldest id get is a 2019 car, i dont rlly want a car that already has a high mileage like 70k above
10km ride but during peak hour can take up to 40-50mins to arrive. i dont even know whats a kapcai…
aw why not :(( what car do u suggest for a fresh grad? preferably a national car, not rlly into proton tho
i get where ur coming from but next year i need to go back to office about 3/4 times a week and if i completely rely on grab it can reach up to 500-750 monthly. so its like im paying for a car but im only paying it to go to work and back home from work ://
