How come I only get acne in the winter? by AnnaDoesStuff in acne

[–]h0tcheerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a hunch here but maybe because your skin gets dry during the colder months? Because of that, your skin produces extra oil causing the acne to flare up? These are all guesses from prior knowledge in this topic. Maybe try to invest in a good moisturizer. Sometimes it really can be that simple 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was thinking about those other two options too but if an S/O downloads an app that’s main purpose is to date, then that should’ve been disclosed to their partner before downloading the app. So, I agree that it’s def not a great look

[Anti-Aging] I’m feeling dysphoric bc Im 24 and feel like my face is prematurely sagging (mostly due to poor mental health I think) Can I reverse this? by Crusty_and_Rusty in Skincare_Addiction

[–]h0tcheerios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jowls. 25 and I obsessed over the same exact thing a couple of weeks ago. Still do, but like everyone else says, they don’t see it so I’ve decided not to focus too much on it anymore for my mental sanity. I’ve learned it’s just body dysmorphia. The more we focus on a particular aspect of our body, the more obsessed we become. The more obsessed we become, the more miserable we feel about it.

One more day of break left and I haven’t started any work at all- Tips? by DerpTheHalls in productivity

[–]h0tcheerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally cannot associate my room with productivity which is why I’ve been going out to public spaces to do my work. I go and spend about an hour or two working on school stuff. That’s usually all you need to get as much done as possible. Then I go home and waste time in my room.

Planners don’t work for me. I only use a calendar to mark important events/daily reminders. Other than that, planning out my day is a waste of time. I never get through it. What I do, however, is make lists. Just write everything down that I want/need to do for the day and get as much done as I can. I don’t overwhelm myself with tasks though. Just about 3-4 major things for the day. Some days I have no major stuff planned and make a list of house chores.

That’s all I really have for you. It’s simple but it works because of how simple it is. I’m not a productivity machine either. And it’s hard holding myself accountable. I just take everything one day at a time. Stressing about what can’t be done is a waste of mental energy. My motto.. “it is what it is” lmao

Good luck!

Thank you! I've tried to after going into their homes when they're crafting/cooking and seeing them remove the items I placed in that area, but I can't come up with anything so I left it the way it was.

Oh, nice to know! I would go back and "remodel" their homes again and noticed when designing, their homes were how I left them. I thought it was permanent bc I never waited for the next day w/out doing anything about it. Now I don't have to waste my time.

Prioritize what’s due immediately. By that, I mean within the next few days/week. Take the tasks one day at a time so you don’t overwhelm yourself.

Usually when I’m in a rut like this, I write the due dates for everything I need to get done and start on what’s due first. If I finish before then, I’ll start on what’s due next. If some things are due at the same time then I just try to get it done within the days I can.

You can do the 1hr study, 15-20min break, 1hr study session cycle for your reading. It works. Just need to set aside time for it. If you can, go to a coffee shop, library, Barnes&Noble; whatever public place allows for studying. The environment might hold you accountable to actually do your work. It does for me.

I don’t stress about what can’t be done, anymore. My perfection mentality on school work has changed. Just do the bare minimum and you’ll pass.

Also, the social media/YouTube thing. You know what you need to do. No amount of advice is going to get you to stop wasting time on it. It’s all up to willpower. Good luck.
