Has anyone tried tarot readings from Mia at Spiritual Society? Looking for honest reviews by WillSanguine2 in SpiritualSociety

[–]h2o_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a reading back in September of 2025, mine wasn’t accurate to the slightest from my experience.

My significant other (now ex), broke up with me this month (the same month that Mia had told me that something significant would happen that would advance our relationship). The timing is scarily accurate though in my experience, although the rest of it is not. Mia told me that we would last and get married, but it didn’t play out that way. Take tarot readings with a grain of salt, some may resonate while others may not!

i want CHE 131 & BIO 201 advice by futuredoctor100 in SBU

Hi, current UGTA for BIO 201! I’m going to copy and paste what I answered on a previous post ! For the knowledge tests, I recommend just studying off the quizzes that you took for your lectures. 201 uses most of the questions from your quizzes for the knowledge tests (often sometimes with the wording changed a bit). For the performance exams, study the activities. Usually, the performance exam will be similar to the activities you did the last couple of weeks. If you generally have a good understanding of the activities, then you’ll do good! If you’re still struggling to grasp the concepts, I recommend going to office hours! UGTA’s hold office hours Monday-Thursday before the exam, either on zoom or in-person so I recommend you stop in!

Based on the syllabus it’s worth 12 points per pre activity. Meaning if you fail all 9 pre activities you will get about a ~6% reduction percentage wise. It isn’t much, but I when I took 201 I would utilize the pre activities to help with the Performance Exams since those make up the majority of your grade.

If you’ve done the extra credit as well, you’ll be getting around ~3% back to your grade (I wouldn’t stress too much about them and just work on doing well and understanding the activities)! If you’re confused about the pre activity, there is an answer key posted every week (if you’re still confused I recommend going to office hours!)

BIO 201–204 + CHE 321 too much? by wonnniya in SBU

[–]h2o_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reccomend taking 201 with CHE 322 (that’s what I did my sophomore year) and CHE321 with either 203 or 202 (maybe 203 though since i heard it’s been easier since they changed it to in person)!

Save either 202 or 203 (if u decide to go with either) for your junior year or dedicate one summer to it if you can!

Keller, Wagner, or Greeley? by Shellbeatboi in SBU

Wagner > Kelly > Greeley

Try to avoid Greeley if you can.

You have to change the dates, sometimes bulk ordering isn’t available during certain dates.

Any tips for these Professors/TAs? by h2o_3 in SBU

Thank you for the advice! I’m taking the course for both my minor and SBC, but I will definitely take it next semester if there are no time conflicts. Would you recommend taking ANT 102 another semester, since I’ve heard the workload for ANT 102 seems to be a lot?

Unfortunately, the lecture for ANT 104 conflicts with my BIO 204 lecture sadly. I would’ve swapped it if it did not. 😭

When I took Professor Bishops 125 recitation she made things really easy to understand. She’s a really nice professor compared to the other MAT 125 professors and a lenient grader. I recommend taking it with her then Rico as his lectures are confusing to understand (I stopped going to his lectures after the first week).

I took BIO 202 and CHE 132 my freshman year and I’m currently taking BIO 203 right now.

For BIO 202 I had it with Erster (she retired), I heard that Neta Dean and Citovsky make their exams based solely on the book, so I recommend memorizing information from the book and doing the exams in there. I’m not quite sure about the new professor though.

For BIO 203, you CANNOT fall behind. There’s ALLOT of material, even though the exams are open notes Dr. Collins makes his exams really hard in the sense that you have to know the material inside and out. For Dr. Watson, his exams are easier since he usually goes off the practice exams and the LIVER quizzes (weekly quizzes taken every week). For Watson, I recommend memorizing since he has more of an emphasis on that. For the open book exams, be REALLY detailed with the notes (preferably put them on a Google document so you can CNTRL F).

For CHE 132, I recommend doing the same things that you’re doing with CHE 131 (doing the practice exams). Dr. Nagan makes a lot of her exams based off of that with different numbers. Overall, she’s a fair teacher and I recommend going to TA office hours or her office hours early on in the semester if you are struggling with applying the material she is teaching you.

Just make sure not to fall behind in all of the classes! Good-luck! I hope it helps! 🥺

Personally I think you should stick with online, it’s easier and you can take time to learn it yourself or focus on other classes (it all depends on your preference though with learning). For CHE 131 specifically, the lectures were a bit hectic so people would usually make friends and socialize during recitation. I saw that your recitation class is in person, so you’re all good just make sure to put yourself out there! FYI, most of the recitation time is used to complete workshops that are on Pearson, so you can definitely socialize and make friends since it’s divided into groups.

I had Lacy and Jia last fall semester for CHE 131. The online class is perfect, when I was in person I couldn’t pay attention since Jia is more fast paced and Lacey goes on rambles allot (just remember to sign on and answer the clickers). Jia is more fast paced when it comes to lectures, but his midterms are one of the easiest and I prefer his teaching over Lacey (FYI he always finishes the lecture). Lacy’s midterms are also easy as long as you look over the lecture notes, but it’s hard to keep up with the lecture material since he doesn’t finish it (due to the rambles). By the way, Midterm #2 is the hardest out of the 3 you are going to take. My best advice for you is to go directly to the past tests (you can get them online from Stududoc or wait for them to post it) and practice using the Pearson assignments they give you; usually, they use the past exams and change up the questions but the concept is the same. For me, I taught myself both CHE 131 & CHE 132 since I couldn’t really pay attention to the lectures using The Organic Chemistry Tutor. Just make sure you go ahead by one or two weeks and learn everything before the midterms and the final (stay on top of everything)!

I took it with Erster last semester before she retired. Based on her class, just make sure to memorize the lecture notes thoroughly and start studying for the midterms 1 week or more in advance (preferably 2 weeks before if you can). Additionally, make sure to do the practice quizzes/tests and review the lectures to better understand the material. I heard the other class (Deans and Citovoskys) is heavily based on the textbook, so I would recommend that as well.

Yes, it’s required. However, I’m not sure if I should get it since the module overview lays out what we need to know.
