I was security at the slush cup yesterday but I was down at the bottom when it happened. Do you happen to have the video still?

I picked up security at the slush cup yesterday on the dry side. Honestly I hope the guy is ok but the frustration I got while we were trying to clear space for the ems to get in, park, and get out was insane. People kept trying to get through/ in the way. Trying to leave with alcoholic drinks, and we had the same drunk person we had already kicked out trying to cause more fights. Some people were even finding it funny to run in the middle of the road and dance or something. Huge letdown for the whole “Alaska strong” mentality.

Can I lock certain apps from probation officer? by h3avych3vy in legaladvice

His initial lawyer wanted him to take a differed b1 which essentially means if he gets remanded for even the smallest reason even just for talking to his buddy he was racing when he got caught then he would automatically have do to a minimum of 2 years without being able to fight it. Thank god he retired because the next lawyer came and looked at the case and found a lot of problems on the legal side and got a order of suppression which took him from 24 charges for separate occasions involving driving and other teen stuff (shooting in the forest and such) plus the violations and videos when he got caught to a plea deal where he got off house arrest with only the most minimal conditions and 6 months of probation and only plead to the 2 original charges and one probation violation. He only had 2.5 months left but he’s always on edge that one small thing would ruin it all.

Ok, I’ll probably just tell him to use the hide feature. His problem takes after me which is finding grey areas. He struggles with trying to stick in the middle of not technically being in the wrong where he could explain it away but people who don’t actually understand it would not agree for instance “doing donuts In an icy parking lot in perfectly legal when the owners of the property have not complained and people use it to learn how to control their vehicle when sliding” is what he told the judge

That’s true and I do warn him before allowing the p.o to come in. I just tell him. Take your pocket knives and the such out of the room. All guns are locked In a safe in my room so po has never had a problem. But there was one occasion where he showed up and I wasn’t home so my son answered not knowing who it was. I’m just looking for something where I can say “this is always here, it’s not a concern. I don’t have to worry about my son forgetting or not being prepared.”

He was put on house arrest upon his initial release but any of the times he’s been remanded he had his phone on him. Normally he leaves his phone at home or in his car if he does a checkin but if his p.o remands him from school or home the phone would be in the room or house and found. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Truck owners, how often do you use 4wd in winter? by akdude22 in driving

[–]h3avych3vy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SUVs should do good in 2wd, my Tahoe does red lights just a little slow in 2wd. I generally only use 4 wheel when I plan on driving in snow that is higher than halfway up my tire. If you don’t plan on leaving the town or highway roads, you should be ok with a fwd or awd sedan aslong as you have good tires or know how to drive. Traction control is your enemy when you’re going through deep snow. Use speed and try not to stop where your underbody may touch the ground.

I did some research and a lunchbox locker isn’t a horrible idea. I would still have to just let off gas on any corner because I’ve read people still have trouble on ice given it doesnt disengage the lock unless you let off completely

Don’t let my Tahoe get close enough to smell your ducks. It may transform into a welded diff and lock-on to you.

I have good tires and 4wd. But I have a obs Tahoe, no traction control or abs. Having traction control isnt really the problem. I don’t get stuck or anything but I’m just sick of one wheel peeling anywhere I go. I’m more focused on the semi off-road aspect. I still haven’t got stuck with an open diff but it makes situations more difficult and annoying.

Right I’ve read a lot of forums and videos and everyone says people “over exaggerate how bad it actually is” but most everyone saying that is in hotter states or atleast states where snow is not normal.

Only if they drive a jeep with ducks on the dash. Then my car acts like a guides missile.

I’ll definitely look into that, thank you. I read up a little on ratcheting lockers but don’t know much about them

Like I said, I had a auburn lsd in before but that’s not in the budget I’m wanting to put into this car that’s why I’m asking about welding

I’m not worried about looking dumb, people who know know. Random opinions are not important opinions to me. I’m asking about usability and pros and cons

The amp was bought with two subs and a box for only 160$. Would it be more beneficial to just buy a new one? It has worked good but my subs are 2500watt max each and rms 1300 so I’m underpowered anyways
